Oh yeah great idea for the thread. To be honest it was hard leaving a lot of players out... my subs bench could have been hell of a lot longer !

Yeats v VVD v Hansen- sorry but one had to drop & I'm probably being a bit nostalgic... that front 6 picks itself

That's virtually mine and with hindsight Dalglish in in place of Emlyn. Team is absolutely rammed with leaders, I wonder if that would've worked in the dressing room

          Reina
          Jones - Hyypia - Virgil - Aurelio
          Mascherano - Alonso
          Salah -- Gerrard -- Suarez
          Fowler

Alisson, Robertson, Agger, McManaman, Hamann, Torres, Coutinho

Feel that Arbeloa should be in there, but not easy to find a space. Probably forgetting a whole lot, it's easier to remember recent players as better.

Anyone want to take a stab at the worst?

Problem is Dicks, Konchesky, Vignal etc all played in the same position and would be competing for places

Wow, just wow!...not enough peeps in here picking Dalglish?...you poor sods! Can only put it down not been familiar with him as a player rather then the legend he is now?

Dalglish will always have a place in my team (Yep, showing my age here alright!)

Souness & Barnes would be the next 2 on that list followed by Fowler & Suarez as been better strikers than Rush...Don't get me wrong, Loved Rushie but he was good at scoring, just not as talented as Fowler or Suarez.

In defence, VVD has replaced Hansen for being almost an upgrade on him, what a defender! He would be partnered with Carragher as nothing would get past them!
They would be flanked by Babbel & Robertson...nothing more sure than these two! Klopp would have loved Babbel in his prime!

Haven't decided on GK as it's between Grobelaar or Reina who have both been mainstays for years whereas Alisson is recent...

Midfield is a no brainer with Gerrard, Souness, Barnes & Alonso but can only fit in 3 to accomodate Dalglish, Fowler & Suarez so would leave Alonso on the bench along with Torres, Hansen, Nicol, R. Jones, Hughes, Molby & one of the keepers above.
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

              -------------Bogdan
              Konchesky - Ruddock - Dicks - Moreno
              ----------Diao - Cheryou
              --LeTallec -- Sahin -- Diouf
              -------------Voronin

I went for the exact opposite - the ****test starting 11 I could think of in the last 30 years...

No room for Jay Spearing, Charlie Adam, Joe Cole or Christian Poulsen - Id also argue that Milan Jovanovic deserves a start in that team.

There's a lot of garbage to leave out only having 11...
I did have Joe Cole in there as we all had much higher expectations when he came in with the rest of the Hodgson dross...

...but switched him out for Diouf for spitting and generally being a right cunt

                    Dark days.

If I had to choose one player though, PFK is the single worst player I have ever seen in a red shirt.

I've gone from my teens onward, ruling out greats like Barnes and Rush etc.

                      Reina
                      Babbel Hyypia VVD Robbo
                      Mascherano Alonso
                      Salah Gerrard Coutinho
                      Suarez

Subs: Alisson, Finnan, Carragher, Hamann, Mane, Fowler, Torres

Downing deserves first team credentials for sure. Along with Meijer and Carroll. Downing is definitely my least favourite Liverpool player of all time. Not just ****, an all round pussy.

Mine would be similar but I'd squeeze Torres in ahead of Coutinho somehow.

As a kid I remember adoring Rush and Barnes, but nowadays my memory of them is too hazy to really judge them. Sadly my first proper memories of actually watching us play were in the Roy Evans era.

I just missed Kenny as a player and Hansen. Caught the last few years of Barnes, Molby, Nicol, etc. but they were past their best by that point.

I love the fact that the thread title almost implies the expectation that it'll quickly descend into a cesspit of cunt-calling.

                                My team:

                                Allisson
                                Jones Hansen Lawrenson Burrows
                                Houghton Gerrard Souness Barnes
                                Dalglish Rush
