I think a lot of people already planned on being 7 points ahead, to be honest I was thinking how nice it would be most of the day.

But going into the games this week, I doubt anyone thought we'd gain any points on City. Its disappointing to miss an opportunity, but I'd rather be in our position than any of the rest.

Fabinho has to start for us, absolutely vital. I was a massive advocate of signing Keita but he's been dreadful to be honest and I don't think we can afford to start him any more. I'm still so annoyed we let Clyne go in January, what a fantastic option for us to have coming in ffs.

Wouldn't being able to bring someone like Werner on instead of Sturridge make a difference? Wish we went all out and blew some big money this Jan to make a statement. I know I'm being greedy but this is exactly the time to go 'all in'.

It's a definite weak area. One injury there and it's a worry. Shaq is good but he sometimes starts with them so when he does we have little on the bench attacking wise. We just don't like January for whatever reason and think we only even bothered with Van Dijk because Phil was off.

I honestly think that playing in this weather affected pretty much all of the big sides.

City and Chelsea both lost unexpectedly. Liverpool and United drew at home when both would have been expected to win and Spurs and Arsenal barely got over the line.

The ball was moving very slow tonight and the players weren't exactly moving freely off it.

We should play better but the conditions are a leveller. The ref giving us a pen would have sorted it mind.

Yeah I agree. I totally thought we would win. The weather made me doubt it, then we went 1 up so easily. The fact we didn’t, and arguably (what with the ref and the chances they missed) could have lost means that we have to take the positive.

It was a special kind of horrific, a ref on to basically just back his mate up the whole time and McManaman and the other **** just spouting clueless drivel like "I'm not sure it's enough for a penalty". What else has to happen mate, does it only count as a foul if it causes an injury or draws blood now? "Bad defending" when Alisson made that save from Firmino, erm no actually, we played them offside to perfection but the linesman just watched and totally ignored that. Didn't watch afterwards but apparently Ferdinand was spouting nonsense too, not surprising.
