Because that's what we're gonna need to be doing.

No, what we need to do is match whatever point tally City get from here on in, and if we do it does not matter what City do or how many goals they score.

We are the team in the lead, be that by one point or ten points, and that means it is still in our hands.

Man Utd vs Liverpool - Premier League (18/19 - Game 27)

United had the two best chances.

Alisson save first half and Smalling not connecting in the 6 yard box near the end.

We didn't come close to having a serious chance.

I can offer no guarantees. However, no point giving up now. Top of the League.

I reckon we will draw one other game and win the rest and it will be enough.

I always felt we would draw this.

I think we will also draw v. Everton.

Sturridge is finished. He offers nothing now.

We now have the narrowest of leads: 1 pt with an inferior GD after being so far ahead a few weeks back. We need to turn it around and fast.
Performances are a worry and we need to snap out of it and fast. Wednesday is a huge game.

I do feel city will suffer from a wobble with the amount of games they have to play. That's the thing in our favour but we have work to do first.

Yep. Nil nil at old Trafford with the bulk of the posesssion and control is a good result. Not a great one but we're clear top of the league.

Win our next two games and we still will be top. This was never going to be easy, so let's keep our calm please.
                  Are we winning?

I said it in another thread but irrespective of the noise around squad depth in defence, where we really need another quality body is up front. Seeing Origi come on, away to Utd, tells you all you need to know.

Sit deep, stay compact and break. West Ham, palace, Leicester and United all had success playing like that against us. Our midfielders are workers but lack ant sort of creativity or guile and service to front men is a disgrace. We completely rely on fullbacks to get balls to front 3.

Terrible decision for subs too. Did Sturridge even get a touch? A good point before game but with all their injuries it just feels like a chance missed.

We lacked composure, we weren’t brave in the ball, our decision making was very bad (cross after cross after cross) and our manager made some very bad decisions. Milner at right back was shocking on the ball, Robbo’s poor form continues (on the ball), front three toothless with Salah looking like a pub player and we have ZERO threat from midfield.

I’m not going to say bottle job as that was a v hard game out of the way but I am so disappointed that we threw away such a big opportunity to win.
It's the pattern of our form that's the problem for me. We've been waiting for the team 'to click' so many times this season, that we've been somewhat blessed by our ability to hold out and grind out wins which has elevated us to the top of the league.
We've not exploited City's slipups at all, and it's increasingly apparent that we might not be able to match their levels from now until the end.
Keep in mind we've had that 7pt carrot dangled in front of us a couple of times, and we've not taken it. Now we're down to a single point (and a far weaker GD), but of more concern is we look scared in our general play, and while I wouldn't swap our position with City, we need to start looking like title winners soon.
Later in the week will be a good time to show it.

We’re but we are not playing well during the most important part of the season. We still have the derby, Spurs and Chelsea to play. Can we win all 11 games? IMO Not how we’re playing right now. Can Man City win all their games? Maybe not but their form is better and I fear we’ll be caught now.

We will never ever in our lifetimes get a better chance to win at Utd. 3 subs first half. They were on their knees. We played safe football. The endless passing between the defenders and keeper is painful.

The lack of goals in our midfield is criminal. Yet they all work hard which makes us hard to beat. Keita has been playing well. Why not start him.

Absolutely desperate for another top quality forward. Madness we didn't replace Phil, madness we didn't do more last summer then again in January did **** all. It's the same 3 that will have to start every game, if Firmino is even fit enough. Last season when Mane was **** he got dropped then we went and leathered Bournemouth and Brighton I think it was, we don't have that luxury this season. Has to be sorted in the summer, ideally 2 in.

They way we'd want it as well.

Hopefully will be enough, but performances need to turn for that to happen IMO. Can only assume City's slipups have happened.
