Winning 26 from 27 makes it look like we're winning the league at a canter, but we're really not. There have been some decent battles and late goals to get us out of a few scrapes. It's a 38 game sprint at 100% maximum effort. There's no pacing ourselves it seems.

The mentality, stamina and physicality of this team, more than the technical ability is what what really separates this team from the rest. Both now, and in the past.

Easiest game of the season so far? Leicester away I reckon. A rare game where we took the early goal and then left them for dust.
Pacing ourselves is exactly what we’re doing, I’d say.

That’s why we’re not strolling results. We’re doing less running, our intensity is down and we’re doing less pressing, which is often the source of many of our goals when we hammer teams.

A couple of seasons ago we’d blitz teams for 3 games and then drop points from being out of steam in the next one.

Now we do just enough to get the points, while leaving enough energy in the tank for the next game.

I think we’ve still the 17/18 type of carving teams apart at 100mph performances in this team, just now we save our legs for when we need them. Like Barcelona for in the CL semi final 2nd leg last season.

So telegraph reporting that pl won't grant us the league win even if we're mathematically done but league is stopped for coronovirus.
      One tit for another.

The Echo saying the PL have confirmed there are no rules to say what would happen, there’d likely be a range of potential solutions and everything is still hypothetical at this stage.

Thanks you made my weekend. Was starting to feel a bit down reading that earlier. We can make it to March.

Imagine a team being 22 points ahead in a league, needing 4 wins to secure the title (at the time of writing), being denied because of a virus?

It's a fair point, but not one I think I agree with.

The intensity of the games, grinding out those results is several levels above the turn up and thrash, or turn up and not turn up boom bust of years ago. The consistency is amazing. And I reckon that's more exerting.

                But really, who knows.
                Oh I don't know.

Physically though, we are definitely pacing ourselves. What we’re doing now may be more mentally exerting in many ways though.

                      Again, I'm not so sure.

The physicality of this team is visibly extraordinary. And it's bulldozing its way through the fixtures.

Seems that there'd have to be a meeting between all teams to decide what happens to the final table. Most of the discussions would be around the final placings of European promotion and the relegated teams.

There's really nothing to discuss about the champions, that's us and if they don't want to look like ****ing idiots they'll hand big ears 2.0 over to us asap.

Yeah but Dom what I’m saying is, we now do less running in terms of ground covered, less high intensity sprinting and we don’t press as much as in previous seasons.

That’s not my opinion, it’s statistical evidence.
