Glad my company are on an Irish Bank Holiday today. Might not be at my best.

I’m feeling jaded as **** today.

Feel sorry for the players who have to go and play for their countries now. Though Jordan an Trent should be fairly buoyant in front of Kane and Alli.

I’ve watched a lot of the game back and I felt Hoddle skewed the narrative of the match on Saturday at full time with his incessant ‘Spurs were the better team’. I thought Spurs were absolutely terrible. Alli, Kane, Eriksen were abysmal. They had some moments of fluid possession, mainly through Son but that was it. First shot on goal was the 78th minute. We had the goal, shot by Robbo, shot just wide by Trent and about 8 corners (all shockers). All the chances Spurs had were weak shots from distance between 80 mins and us going 2 up.

We were professional. We had a lead to protect from pretty much kick off and we did.

All that mattered was the result, bundling the win across the line in 90 was perfect and getting the second so we didn’t have to listen to them moan about the pen for the rest of time was perfect. We don’t have to provide heart stopping last second wins every time, and a dull 2-0 felt about perfect to me.

I was glad Rio Ferdinand pointed out that he didn’t recall his CL win v Chelsea being much of a game, but that he couldn’t care less.
      Modifying post.

He was hideous, I know he supports them so it was hard but a bit of professionalism wouldn't have gone amiss. We seem to get hammered as being **** if we don't win 5-0 playing some crazy tempo which wasn't even possible in that weather anyway. We shut down a really good attacking side piss easy from 0-80 and even after that there was nothing that was a must score or sitter. We should have done better with the ball at times no doubt but it was a CL Final and we were never not in control of it, that's not bad I'd say. Certainly not "poor and Tottenham have been much the better side" like that **** claimed.

          Good man

I made a concerted effort to get very drunk before the final as didnt want nerves to set in and spoil it

I was well on my way to that goal with about 4 hours till kick off and had to slow up a bit. It definitely helped me watch the match and my other mates and family who came round to watch it were far more nervous than me

Of course the early goal settled the nerves further but I didnt have to worry from there on in as the booze had well kicked in and I was free to watch it in a drunken haze with no worries

For me it was a penalty, Glenda Hoddle can moan all day but Sissooks arm was unnaturally and stupidly high. Its funny because at half time when Glenda was spouting his ****e the person hurling the most abuse at him was my Evertonian best mate

I thought we were poor throughout the whole match and gave the ball away miles too much whilst under little or no pressure, other than our defending which was rigid disciplined and didnt really give anything away

All this ****e about Spurs being the better side yeah they had more possession but they rarely threatened us and that fact that their first shot on target was in something like the 75th minute says it all

Yes Alisson had to make a few saves but they were pretty much bread and butter ones to me

Also finally hats off to Origi for sticking that away and not forcing us to go through the agony of the last few minutes

Post match celebrations were amazing to watch and the parade yesterday was fantastic. Was made up my daughters got to see what the city is like when we win something big as the last time we won Big Ears my eldest was only 5 days old

Great weekend and I still dont think I have sobered up, it might be tomorrow before my head is completely cleared

Spurs were the better team my arse.

We scored the first and allowed them to have the ball but as soon as they got into the final third they were snuffed out. They didn't have a shot on goal until the 70th minute and had a little flurry late on but we didn't have to get out of third gear.

Hoddle is a complete tool, always has been

I thought Lineker and Ferdinand were quite neutral but then I had had a few by the time half time came round

Both teams were ****e attacking wise

That said we had a couple of chances first half and they didnt get a shot on target until 15 minutes to go

CanÂ’t stop singing today. Good job I ainÂ’t at work.

Fair few tears too. ItÂ’s been a hugely emotional season to say the least. Nothing can replace what I lost back in September, but that win has taken a weight off my back I just couldnÂ’t lift. Mum would be so happy to see that.

The amount of videos IÂ’ve watched- canÂ’t get enough. Was singing in the shower earlier - swear some ****er outside started joining in.
                  3rd place. Worst champions ever.

There have been some great tweets and videos since Saturday. That unfortunately is not one of them.

Nice piece. Might have been posted yesterday but can't recall what with this ****ing hangaround -

It was estimated there would be 50,000 Liverpool fans in Madrid but it turned out there might have been twice that – outnumbering their Spurs counterparts in such a way it was possible to wander along Gran Via or any of the main thoroughfares in Madrid and forget there were two English clubs in the final.

That is not intended to belittle Spurs, who have a 62,000-capacity stadium now and are regarded by some as possessing the best away support of all the London clubs. Yet the past few days have served as a reminder about the sheer size of Liverpool, their right to be considered one of the giants of the sport and – judging by the number of Asian, American and Australian accents (and that is just the As) – their global reach in this internet age.
