Klopp's obviously been just putting players into the team line-ups for the fitness primarily and changing people's position getting everyone up to match fitness... Difficult when you're missing your front three and a keeper... that's most of the spine gone.
Agree it needs a midfield of Hendo Gini and Fab for City game. Don't want to get over-run, don't want to get a pasting either. Doesn't mean a lot, but would be a confidence booster to get the season off with a win, a trophy and a bit of a swagger going into the Norwich opener. As a newly promoted side, Norwich will be smelling blood first day of the season, looking to put a marker down to the rest of the league... won't be an easy game at all.

I think we should disband the club and just remember the good times

We won the Champions League, so we'd be going out on a high.

Would anyone really notice if they used jumpers for players, fans and stadium too?
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

We haven't been beaten at home for 2 seasons, we're Champions of Europe, we've just recorded the 3rd highest points total in English football history and we're playing a Championship side who could be without two of their first choice CB's and their top scorer from last season.

I'm not sure I totally agree with this assessment.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Now you put it that way, it has all the makings of a classic upset!

Although I'm not that worried about our pre-season form, I'm reassured that we do have Norwich at home first game. Even a repeat of last year with someone like West Ham would have me a bit concerned on current form.

Norwich is perfect for us IMO and it being a Friday night atmosphere at Anfield, all the better.

Norwich would take a 0-3 if offered to them now. They won't expect to win and they won't want to get off to a 5 or 6 nil drubbing.

I'd happily take 1-0 and it being a really scruffy goal at that

First game of the season is always a tricky one, no-one wants to get off to a bad start and players aren't usually back to their sharpest. It's all about the result, we worry about performances later.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

We had quite a few of those last year and fans were far from happy. Apparently we had regressed as a team, people were being fooled by our league position and we couldn't cope without Buvac.

38 dodgy scrappy wins will do me. That's not to say I wouldn't moan but by the end of the season I'd be happy

Like the optimism but in reality, the best time for any of the promoted sides to play one of the Top 4 is 1st game of the season before they get into their stride...

What's yellow with a bit of of green... a potential banana skin
