He's never scored one goal in the Champions League.

He's slow as ****e, can't head the ball for fcuking toffee, and gives the ball away more than just about every other Liverrpol player, including Garcia, despite this 'bringing others into play' attribute being the ONE thing he's lauded for.

I think he's rubbish, and will gladly watch him being relegated to the bench for the large part of this season.

As detailed numerous times Disco, I have not come to that conclusion based on a few friendlies.

I've seen him play quite a few times now, and haven't been overly impressed.

As I mentiooned at the beginning, he's got a lovely touch, is pleasing on the eye, and may come up with some moments of magic - but my main concern lie's with his ability to do it regularly, and more so - In the Premier League.

He looks very light, and in my view - drifts in and out of games too much. It's all fair and well dancing down the left-wing for Real Sociedad, but how are the likes of Gary Neville, Eboue, and other premiership bruisers going to take to that?

He'll be hoofed all round England mate.

People shouldn't though be under the impression that cos I have my concerns, that I don't want the boy to succeed.

Believe me, anybody who replaces Harry Kewell gets my vote, whether this lad's got what it takes to help us move to the next level or not, only time will tell.

I get what you mean, but I look at it slightly different.

Like Pennant, to an extent, I'd play him at Anfield against any team outside the top 4 where I expect us to be attacking the team more often than not. In fact, I can't wait to see Gerrard/Pennant/Bellamy/Gonzales/Fowler against almost any defence (outside top 4).

However, if we were playing Chelsea tomorrow I'd probably err towards having Riise/Kewell play for reasons similar to the ones you give.
