Not going unbeaten and not breaking records. Let's win this. Lets retain the CL or win the FA cup. Strangely I'm hoping this will concentrate our minds now on what really matters and actually take pressure off us.

But we might not walk the league so this should focus us a bit

I reckon it’s gonna be well into April we seal it. I can’t see us taking full points away at Everton and City.
      Are we winning?

I find this idea that losing the game or games is somehow better than winning every game completely absurd.

        It's pure nonsense.
        Oh I don't know.

Yep it is. If as Klopp and the players alluded at, they never bothered with it anyway so it’s not like it’s a monkey’s off our back.

It’s not the loss it’s the easing of pressure now that the invincibles is off the table. It definitely added some pressure over the past month or so. It was impossible to ignore no matter what was being said.

Now that our winning run is zero games, the pressure is off. I wouldn’t rule this team out from responding very positively.

So, obviously winning every game is the ultimate. But there are positives to be found in defeat. The run we’ve been on was insane, but when you look at what this team has achieved and the resolve we’ve shown I wouldn’t fancy being the next team to face us.

But if you're winning every game anyway, this so called pressure is rendered completely irrelevant by definition.

This theory is just a way of people making themselves feel better about losing, and trying to turn it into a positive. It's got nothing to do with reality and it's deluded.
              Oh I don't know.

                Losing is the new winning.

It's a combination of Moyesian and Hodgsonish logic.
                Oh I don't know.

Can't change the fact that we lost so may as well put a positive spin on it. Surely delusion plays no part in the reality of what is happening to the team, who remain extremely well placed to win the league regardless

You can't change the fact that we lost, and I don't see any positives from it. None at all.

And I maintain that if you do see it as positive, then you're either deluded, weird or both.

There's a difference between finding a positive in something and seeing the result in isolation as a positive and I expect you already realise that.

We’ll seen how we respond on the pitch. To deny the possibility that it might have a positive effect after a series of underwhelming performances would also be weird.

Yep, and in this case there really are no positives. Full stop.

The team now have to lift themselves and respond. They can use it as a motivation for the next game of course, but that's not the same as basically saying that you're glad the unbeaten run is over (as some have) because for some reason it's better than continuing the unbeaten run.

Anyway, going round in circles. Anyone who sees yesterday's defeat as a positive thing needs their head examined.
