On the brightside, this might well give the lads a bit of mental relief. Now the unbeatables dream has been ripped apart, they may well be able to enjoy the football a little more again. The reason we've been poor of late may be related is to the pressure they've put on themselves to remain unbeaten?

Been so predictable. Play the ball to Trent, wait for him to whip it in. No interplay between the lines until Minamino came on. Second balls from midfield to defence been poor. Total off day but we’re still 22 points ahead. Need to get this out of our system ASAP. Play the full team vs Chelsea. Are we winning?

The Deeney and Hughes ones were both bookings as clear as day. But I don't see how it would have changed the game in any meaningful way.Originally posted by BG1973 View PostWatford have been brilliant. Outran us.

It's not all Lovren's fault, but he is liability I said at 0-0 that he'd had some dodgy moments and been lucky to get away with a few things. I think that things like that gives the opposition confidence and hope. Also the difference in pace between him and Gomez significantly affects the way our defence lines up. I noticed that often Gomez has been playing deeper than VVD so any balls over the top on the break he can and has cleaned up. Today VVD has played as far forward as he usually does and Lovren has been playing level with him, and Lovren has no ****ing chance of getting back to cover those.
Fabinho doesn't look anywhere near where he was before his injury, also the winter break broke our rhythm and we haven't been the same since. Perhaps there was some complacency in there, hopefully this result will be a huge kick up the arse and will inspire us to wrap up the title, and in the cups. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
