No champions for the season. That's significant and a concern.

Worth keeping in mind that they are still awarding the final positions as their table stands. The KNVB said that they feel it inappropriate to award the title under the circumstances, but that could be as much to do with having 2 teams on equal points at the top.Originally posted by topscorer View PostFrom our perspective this tweet doesn't tell the whole story.

Would they necessarily have still not awarded the title if Ajax has been 25 points clear?
Either way, it was their choice and doesn’t mean that the PL would do the same..

Sure but it sets a precedent if UEFA accept the decision. It means that PL could do the same.

Not much of a concern, different government, different league, totally different title race etc etc. They’ve obviously rushed after the governments September 1st stuff but could end up looking quite dumb if others get their leagues done on the pitch.
And given how many Dutch teams are kicking off, talking legal action etc already it’s not exactly showing what a great solution it is!

There’s no reason that PL would have to follow Eredivisie.Originally posted by topscorer View PostSure but it sets a precedent if UEFA accept the decision. It means that PL could do the same.
Belgium have said that they will still award their titles.
Germany intend to complete the season.
UEFA just want the European places sorted out.
What leagues do about relegation/promotion and titles is up to them..

A lot more PL clubs are wanting to cancel this season.
But, and I'm boring myself repeating this, next season doesn't look likely to complete. Part of the rationale for the Dutch was that they didn't want to have a fixture pile up next season.
People aren't really understanding the realities of the longevity of this. Think years, not months ffs.
