I think we won’t be able to continue the season. Can’t see any kind of football starting before July or August.

That would be my vote.
I think the worry is that not many clubs will still be around if we have to wait that long. Not that it being this season or next affects that.
But I also cant see any live sport being an option until August/Sept as Fredo says. Not while the number of new cases remains so high each day.Modifying post.

Behind the scenes a number of those struck dumb last week are being far more vocal, with several chief executives actively advocating cancelling the season.
The clubs who would rather cancel the campaign didn’t voice that view in the meeting, but are reportedly starting to make their opinions known behind the scenes.

Any money to be paid back to broadcasters due to the season not being completed should be paid for by only those clubs voting to cancel the season.
Edit: **** it. No merit money for finishing the season eitherLast edited by ChesterDave; 26-04-20, 02:01 PM.Football without Origi is nothing

So they need 14 clubs to agree. Whatever the clubs agree the rest will have to toe the line.Originally posted by ChesterDave View PostAny money to be paid back to broadcasters due to the season not being completed should be paid for by only those clubs voting to cancel the season.

Its mad to think next season can carry on as normal though.
I don't know how it'll play out but the seeming rush to make a decision now doesn't make much sense to me when there's so much uncertainty in the long term.

Presumably that will be up for vote too. Whether it is scrapped, ended now with current placing.
You can bet your life clubs vote would be different depending on whether it was outright cancelled and scrapped or if it was ended early with placings and Europe/relegation based on current.Football without Origi is nothing

Who knows.....ultimately we are dealing with an unprecedented situation here.Originally posted by BigChief View PostDoes cancelling the season mean the Belgian model?
It does feel like its slipping away at times though in all this uncertainty.
I'm holding onto a dream I had a couple weeks back - Henderson coming out with the PL trophy on his own with a packed Anfield in attendance. Could have been the start of the next season etc

Can't understand any other logic. It's ****ing unfair that teams miss out on promotion and those that should've gone down get a reprieveLast edited by Norbs; 26-04-20, 02:49 PM.
