Pretty much how I feel about itOriginally posted by dom9 View PostSometimes a game just turns to ****.
It's always annoying. But it's become increasingly rare in the past couple of years.
But really, we're 20 points clear and champions. So I can sleep well tonight.
Hopefully this will be a kick up the arse, a lesson in complacency, and we see the team up for it again from here.
If we don't, there may be a case to bring some new faces in for no other reason than to keep them all on their toes.

We needed to bury either the chance where Bobby mis-hit that rebound, or where Salah hit the post, or Mane's header. First goal is huge in these games.
Klopp's interview was bang on. And Roy Keane was right, that attitude, hating losing, but not throwing anyone under the bus is WHY we will be a forsce again next season.
This is the most content with where we are as a team i've ever felt after a 4-0 thats for sure. Typically, in the past a result like this leaves you staring into the abyss as a Liverpool supporter.Modifying post.

I don’t think attitude was the problem today. Not at all. Maybe we lacked a little bit of sharpness.
City are quality and our equals as a team and they made us pay for our mistakes. On the other hand, we could have scored two or three but we weren’t clinical enough. Are we winning?

1998. Arsenal win the league, and lose 4 0 at Anfield in their next match.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostWe needed to bury either the chance where Bobby mis-hit that rebound, or where Salah hit the post, or Mane's header. First goal is huge in these games.

To be fair, all he said was does winning the league give perspective... I think Klopp misunderstood that one. I thought the interviewer was making the point "you won the league, does this result matter too much?"Originally posted by Zapater View PostWould be surprised if that's what he's telling the team privately.
Enjoyed that, loved Klopp calling him out on the narrative he was trying to create. In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Depends how you define 'attitude', for me not having the application or discipline to defend correctly tactically or sloppiness like the throw in to put Jesus through on goal are not outcomes of commendable attitude.Originally posted by Fredo View PostI don’t think attitude was the problem today. For me this rankles a lot. We could have scored, but they could have had more too, like Klopp said maybe 5-3 or so would perhaps have been a truer reflection. I've always taken a lot of pride in some of our results, like putting 4 past Man Utd and Real Madrid in the same week for example. No doubt City will feel similar about this and we'll need a really strong performance when we meet them next season. We weren't at the races, not even close.

I ****ing love this guy so much, he is sooooooo good at this stuff. He's clearly pissed off. They all will be. So what better to do than demolish the first set of questions he receives.

usually I would be raging after a 4 nil loss, especially to City but yeah not really bothered. Absolutely no doubts Klopp chewed the bollox off the lads behind closed doors. Defend your players publicly and say what you have to say behind closed doors. That's why he is who is he is.

Asking if 'we need to apply perspective' was not the most succinct way of making the point. Imagine an english speaker getting asked that in German.Originally posted by Liverpool View PostThe questions wasn't too bad, Klopp was pissed off and wanted to lash out. Need to remember despite him being so good at English its not his first language so no need to ask long winded riddles.
But Klopp was pretty much going to go after which ever set of questions were asked.Modifying post.
