Everton vs Liverpool - Premier League (20/21 - Game 5)

Our turn to visit the Champions elect.

One thing that I think is being overlooked in the how amazing Everton are is that they havent actually played anyone decent yet. They beat Spurs first up (I think) and that is it.

Thats not to say they arent loads better, because they definitely are, but just that they are probably not quite at the trophy celebration part of their season just yet.

It's a tough game, and a big part of it will be seeing which team ensure their own keeper throws the least amount of balls into his own net.

    Pickford v Adrian.

The pressure is on Everton, so it is a massive game and a win for us will be a big statement and remove some of the shock from the Villa game.

          Adrian
          Trent VVD Gomez/Fab/Matip Robbo
          Thiago Fab/Hendo
          Jota Hendo/Gini Mane
          Mo

Think we'll see a 4231 for this, with Bobby rested after the internationals. Fab could be rested too, or played CB as he'll have less running. Wouldn't be surprised to see Matip get a recall as he was on bench for Villa and would have had international break to train. Most positions pick themselves, bar the 3 up the centre.

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Yeah, I'd rest (drop) Gomez. If Matip is fit then him. If not him then Fab.

Interesting thoughts on Bobby, maybe Taki will get a game?

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Would like to see that, but he'll have travelled a bit too which is why I think we might see the reshuffle with Mo in the centre. The two holding means it's easier to fit Thiago in, plus after the Villa defeat, the extra bit of security in front of the defence mightn't be a bad idea.

Matip wasn't on the bench at Villa so I guess it'll be a straight choice between Fabinho or Gomez - not ideal.

If Henderson is fit to start that will be a big boost

FFS. I was in a bar with no sound watching match, but I was sure I'd seen him in lineup.

When I checked 10 min ago, I was looking at the missing players section (which is quite substantial for a club that never gets injuries), instead of the subs.

He played for England so you’d hope so.

I can’t see anything other than the tried and trusted 4-3-3......Jürgen doesn’t easily change his approach. We sit a little deeper although the Ev dint have the pace of Villa so high line it may be

Mane, Bobby and Mo will start up front.

Henderson, Thiago and Gini in midfield

TAA, Virgil, Fab and Robbo across the back

I didn't know that I didn't pay any attention whatsoever to the international matches
