I really don't get this "Trent is weak defensively" stuff. Trent's fine. I'm more worried about whoever partners VVD (and I hope it's Fabinho) than Trent, and as you say, the nut job in between the sticks!

My biggest worry really is that Ancelotti has been very good at cancelling us out and turning the game into a coin-toss wherever he's been.

But objectively, we are a much better team than them, and would win tomorrow's game probably 7 or 8 times out of 10. We need a reaction after the Villa game too. I'm confident we'll see one.

Trent has been poor in the opening few games. Long term no issue whatsoever but he hasn't switched onto game mode for me. Villa was bad for everyone, but trent was not only naive in pushing up and getting caught he kept letting people cut inside on their preferred foot. It was schoolboy stuff. No witchunt, just observing that he's been pretty **** in the opening games.
