We dominated possession but Spurs had big chances - they outperformed us on xg in all the models I saw. I know that is only statistics but we are lucky Son did t get rpthe two Bergwin chancesOriginally posted by Buzzo View PostBobby had a header and shot saved first half. Mo had about three or four. Sadio hit the bar.
Stats wise. We had 17 shots 11 on target they had 8 and 2 on target.
Mourinho just tries to skew the narrative. Bergwijn missed from wide when in on goal so did Salah. Kane missed his header Bobby scored his
both hit the woodwork. So that’s pretty much the same but then outside that we had way more chances than them.
Well done Spurs winners of the ‘played a bit better second half at Anfield’ trophy.
Anyway we won and **** Mourinho

they didn't have better chances, our shots were just powder puff imo, finishing could have been so much better.

I think what last night demonstrated is that there is still a massive chasm between the likes of ourselves (I'm still liable to include City) and the so called 'others'.
Going out on a limb, the only thing that can probably prevent back to back titles is if we run out of players.
Of course, beat the chuttle of the league and you'll find yourself near the top portion, even more so in this weird season, which is why the likes of Spurs will always pick up a few points, but there is a night and day difference between us in our level of quality, level of potential, mentality and philosophy in how the game should be played.
Thats why the likes of Hojbjerg and Sissoko etc can have rings run around them by our lads, or the likes of Jones having 3/4 the amount of passes that the whole Spurs team had.
There were times when that looked like the best performance of our season last night, with only our final shot lacking conviction.
Even if some our lads look on fumes of late, we know what they can do, and things will only get worse for everyone else when Thiago and Jots are back in the mix, let along VVD and Gomez further down the line. I still want to see us strengthen in January, in the right manner, mind you."I will make the boys feel your support"

What I’ll never understand is how our ball control and short range passing can be so poor one day and so good it looks like we are using our hands a few days later. I know physical tiredness is gonna affect other areas of the game but I guess it must be a mental tiredness to affect these areas so much.3rd place. Worst champions ever.
