To be fair on Gomez, anytime he has had to step in at CB in recent time he has been very good. So as long as Konate's injury is not a long term one we are more than fine having a CB as good as Gomez come in beside VVD.

I’d say pace was Joe’s No 1 strength & he’ll need that but also he’d have to deal with one of the most physical strikers in the league. That’s Ibou’s No 1 strength IMO. Hope the big man recovers. For this match I’d have no issues with Joe playing in either FB spot if needed.
