If he think he is worth the same of VVD, hes avin a laugh.
VVD only gets injured by fat pricks flying through the back of his knee. And VVD is probably better in every metric. That said, he is very good when fit.
His greatest trait is being more reliable than Joe GomezIn the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Would it be fair to say that in your opinion the only two great centre backs in the game today as VVD and Nat Philips?

I feel like one of those never quite reached his true potential, the other being absoiutely top notch.
Ill be honest. I think defending starts with 2 things. Being fit and being able to head the ball. I think they are vital for this league. Then obviously positioning, pace, and tackling last (VVD rarely used to make any). Then being able to play the ball with confidence is a nice to have.
Obviously Djimi Traore still managed to have a career, so what do I knowIn the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Still time for VVD to catch up with Nat I guess.

The amount of high balls coming in, you need to be able to head it out, or are you disagreeing? The weaker teams are forced to play those balls in, so you need to be able to deal with them. And its no good if they are injured half the time. If we bring in a player thats not great in ther air, then they will be seen as a failure. You end up with a Skrtel or Lovren ****ting the bed every time a high cross came in. Nat Phillips never **** the bed
Positioning is next most important. With it you can negate a lack of pace or even the need to tackle.
Obviously we need someone who can play the ball out, but Van Dijk is exceptional in his distribution for a centreback. Any player who covers all of these bases will cost a ridiculous amount even if they wanted to come. Id rather have a Sami Hyypia who had mosest pace and distribution than a cultured defender who gets beaten in the air. And we need two anyway. In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Not wanting to go through all the same contract **** next season with Konate that we went through this season with VVD, Salah and TAA. Given that his contract expires in a year what should our approach be here? Spend the next few months trying to get him to sign obviously, but if we are getting heading towards the start of next season and we aren't closer to an agreement what do we do? Sell him in this window? Keep hold until January hoping to get something signed before then, but if nothing has been signed sell in January, or do we risk him leaving on a free next year?
Do we feel that the TAA situation will change the club's approach to these situations? The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I say so... Especially with foreign players who will want to be in the squad for the next world cup for their country so I will be gobsmacked if they let him wind down his contract. Regarding to a new contract with an uplift in pay, the club will pay him accordingly to what they think he's worth to the team/club.Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!
