I am struck by the positions on the pitch of
Bobby and Trent. Can anyone remember what the lead up play was...the Arsenal defence looks to far up the pitch for it to have been a quick Arsenal transition that died around our box.

Worked hard but did look lightweight and a bit out of his depth. He has time on his side and will get other chances to prove himself.

glorious goal, i missed the game last night & cannot work out why TAA was playing upfront at that point when the ball was initially at Right Back hahaha

I've no memory of the incident they mention at the start.

The only reasonable guy on AFTV is the guy who interviews the rest of them are idiots.

I thought we were fairly comfortable after the first 15 mins or so and once we went in front we really controlled the game. I thought Arsenal were disappointing, Saka and Smith-Rowe offered very little, Martinelli was by far their most threatening player but to be honest he was probably the only one.

After all the crap their fans were giving it about the first game being postponed their team barely turned up

They were better than us in the first 15 without creating too much imo & agree Martinelli was very dangerous. He looks a real prospect if he can stay fit. Jones added to the midfield was huge, someone who can retain possession and create spaces in that midfield, Fab just syncs with players like him and Thiago and it gives us that extra dimension in there that we simply do not have if there is not a creative influence beside Fab and Hendo. Speaking of Hendo, another poor performance again. Big fan but he's just not at it in recent times. As always works hard but he is better than he is showing, hopefully can get back to his best soon.

I did think Arsenal would have given us a tougher game. That left side of Robbo, Jones and Jota was just outstanding, relentless movement. Hendo and Gordon were on the periphery but the only real worry was Matip who frankly just had a stinker. Role of the final

I don’t even know who is left on AFC - that spanner Troopz is in the states blud, one on his way to jail and another died tragically. The nobility piss take factor is long gone for me

Fabs tackle on Martinelli, where he got the ball. I guess depending on where you were sat in the stadium, it could have looked like a foul, but replays showed it was a clean tackle.

The ginger Manc featured in the reaction compilations is proper weird. As is the Wagner wannabe (x factor, not footy manager)

Ah yeah that one, true sometimes in stadia things look bad

                        That was a great tackle!

Fab was tidying up everywhere, so essential to our team.
                          Henderson coasting now.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Didn't think Hendo did anything wrong yesterday. Without him doing the work, TAA can't get forwards and Jones would have to be more restrained.

I think Hendo played better than he has for a while but mainly by keeping it simple and not losing the ball. I think his work rate is never in question but more his ability to cover the ground and his defensive instincts - he is by trade an attacking mid so tracking runners isn’t his forte

Looks like his remit at the moment is to cover Trent's runs forward, he drops back into the RB role whenever TAA is bombing on down the wing or drifting into the AM role.
