Yep, both players looked absolutely shattered. I know it means a lot to them and probably the continent but what a load of crap it was.

I hope we don't start Minamino, his football is far too predictable against bus parking teams.
    One tit for another.

I would personally start Konate pretty much every league game for the run in. Not because I think he's better than Matip (I still think Matip has the edge), but because he will only improve the more he plays.

Hopefully Rodgers has drained every bit of confidence from his players before the game, at least seemed like he was trying to.
        * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I think one of either Mane or Salah will be on the bench....possibly Mane, as Salah looked knackered by half time. Probably start with Diaz/Taki, Jota and Bobby.

Other than that, we have a midfield conundrum to solve...Fab, Henderson, Thiago, Elliott, Keita, Jones, Ox and Milner all chasing one of the 3 spots. What a lovely problem for Klopp to have to solve.

Backline will be the tried and trusted 4, Konate back to the bench.

Possible, but I reckon Mo might be on the bench. He may need to just get back into it. He looked crushed yesterday.

Sadio will be off touring Senegal for a day or 2!

That makes sense if we are in a position whereby we are pretty certain we are not going to win the league - but also certain that we are going to finish second.

If City drop more points in their next few games - and we don't at the same time - then we will be looking to play our best team every game.

I'd rather they left the original Senegalese version than that **** song.
                    Are we winning?

It’s like the closing credits if Disney Plus made a feel good sports movie adaptation of Senegal’s first Afcon championship.

Yes its a good point but I think the drop-off between the two players is negligible enough to not matter. I doubt playing one or another would win us/cost us the league. The more Konate plays the better he gets too (in theory), to the point where he will eventually start ahead of Matip on merit anyway.

It also means that Matip is more likely to stay fit too?

I just feel at some point Konate has to come through into the starting XI and that time is near IMO.
