Oof, anyone got the full article?

I get he wants to get straight back into it after his disappointment, but he’s just played 5 and half games worth of minutes in the space of 11 days.

And now he’s coming back to Liverpool with 10 games in the next 32 days.

I know he’s a machine, but really don’t want a knackered (or injured) Mo Salah as we go into the businesses end of the season.

Mohamed Salah back in Liverpool training tomorrow after Egypt’s Afcon final defeat

        Paul Joyce, Northern Football Correspondent
        Monday February 07 2022, 5.00pm, The Times

Mohamed Salah has told Liverpool that he will return to training tomorrow as he throws himself back into club football after Egypt’s Africa Cup of Nations disappointment.

Egypt lost on penalties in the final of the competition to Senegal on Sunday, with Liverpool team-mate Sadio Mané netting the winning kick to atone for a miss from the spot in normal time.

While Mané is taking part in Senegal’s celebrations, Salah has already returned to England and indicated that he will be at Liverpool’s AXA training base at Kirkby on Tuesday to begin preparations for Thursday’s Premier League game with Leicester City.

Liverpool will put on what is likely to be a bespoke training session for Salah, with many of his club-mates adhering to second day recovery programmes after Sunday’s 3-1 FA Cup win over Cardiff City.

The Anfield medical staff will also have to assess Salah’s physical condition, with the travelling from the tournament in Cameroon, as well as the amount of minutes Egypt’s captain played in their run to the final, being a factor.

Each of Egypt’s four knock-out matches went to extra-time with three of them then being decided on penalties. In total, Salah has played in seven games since January 11, with his time on the pitch exceeding more than 750 minutes.

There is also the emotional toll that missing out on silverware may have taken on the 29-year-old, who had been in line to take Egypt’s fifth spot-kick but was not required as they slipped to a 4-2 shoot-out loss.

Salah was in tears afterwards, with Mané among those who consoled him on the pitch in the Olembe Stadium in Yaounde.

Mané is also hoping to be involved against Leicester but the turnaround will be tighter. The Senegal president, Macky Sall, declared Monday a public holiday in honour of the team and is due to meet them at the presidential palace in Dakar tomorrow.

Jürgen Klopp, the Liverpool manager, will not be surprised by Salah’s commitment to the cause and, as ever, the biggest issue will be holding his talisman back with his side now immersed in a run of ten matches across four competitions in the next month.

The return of Harvey Elliott and Thiago Alcântara after injury against Cardiff means that, with Divock Origi also back in training, Klopp has the rarity of a fully fit squad to choose from as he pursues success in the Premier League, Champions League, Carabao Cup and FA Cup.

I agree with that apart from the front three -

              Jota -- Firmino -- Ox

Also if Ox has recovered from COVID then so has Gomez so I'd see him on the bench and rest Elliott.

****ing hell what a bench though - imagine being pumped holding up to 0-0 at half time, then we bring on Diaz, Salah and Thiago. Mane to come yet too!

Yeah I suppose Minamino did play 2 international matches but he’s in good scoring form at present so I keep him going personally.

I didn't realise he's scored 7 goals this season which is actually pretty decent considering the number of games he's featured in.

The majority are in the Carabou cup but he did score for Japan in the break too. So he’s 2 from 3 at present.

Can anyone confirm if the Kop Bar has reopened, or is it still closed?

                      Thanks.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

What a player Mo is, the mentality and determination is fantastic. Hoping he will use the Afcon disappointment to drive him with Liverpool.

Mo will start! I'm sure of it.

                            Fab
                            Thiago Keita
                            Salah Firmino Jota

Would be tasty if not a bit carefree. Trent can hang back defensively more just in case.
