If we save this season and qualify for the CL it will be largely the difference that Curtis jones has made. With a run of games he’s been the legs in a midfield that had looked dead on its feet for most of the season. I did not see that coming tbh.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

That and the new formation, Trents output has been off the scale recently also. But Jones has been absolutely pivotal. We seem to have rediscovered a style of playing and with it a confidence.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostIf we save this season and qualify for the CL it will be largely the difference that Curtis jones has made. Also getting Konate back and VVD rested, he looked goosed after the WC.
It is still an ask, but Newcastle and Utd will not get CL easily. Can see it going into the final game.Modifying post.

I feel if there were a couple more games we would make top 4, as things stand I fear we will just fall short. We need to win both our games and hope Man Utd or Newcastle drop at least 4 points from their remaining 3 games. Having looked at Man Utd's fixtures they have Bournemouth away, and Chelsea and Fulham at home, none of those 3 has anything to play for so unless there is a major bottle job they should make top 4. Newcastle have Brighton and Leicester at home and Chelsea away. The Brighton game is massive for us, if Newcastle win that it's over for us, there's no way they don't beat Leicester. Lose or draw that and it goes to the last day, Chelsea have nothing to play for but will hopefully want to end their season on a high. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

If Brighton play like they did vs Arsenal then they’ll win, Chelsea away even under Frankie de Tory will be hard if they need something….Originally posted by Buzzo View PostIm hoping they lose to Brighton. I genuinely cannot see them losing to Leicester at home. We would then need to see Chelsea beat them last day of the season.
If Utd also have a mare, we could sneak third
Villa is next and is our toughest game by far in this run, Watkins in the Trent channel will test us but we have to keep going. It’s a long shot but we’ve got a chance

Utd could realistically finish with a goal difference of +12. They are going to get so pumped by CL teams next season.Originally posted by Pablo View PostWhat is the lowest goal difference a team has finished in the top 4 with I wonder?
Man Utd are currently a pathetic +10. No team with that crap a goal difference should make the Champions League

One tit for another.
