It is what it is though and I am sure there are other teams that could argue they should have gotten more points against us than they did too.

All that matters in the here and now is we have a fighting chance of taking a CL spot if a team above us wobble and even if not we get a spot in the EL.

We are in a nice risk free zone right now where we cannot lose the EL spot so we can just go at Villa and Southampton now we cannot finish with less that we currently have in terms of European footy next season.

Nowt to lose but potentially a lot to gain. Nice position to be in imo all things considered.

six or seven weeks ago, this would have been a very optimistic ending to the season. All we can do is be there ready to pounce if one - or both - Uniteds stumble...

The pain from the Bournemouth one is still stinging though

It's great we are still in the mix, even if it is a long shot but yeah very ****ing annoying we've left it so late to click. We should have easily got champs league qual this season, so frustrating. Brighton could get something but Leicester .. I just can't see it. It's unlucky that both games are at St. James Park and it'll be rocking. if Brighton take points off them, it will be interesting to see how they react given their lack of experience pushing for this type of thing.

Brighton recent away form is more or less on par with Newcastles recent home form so might be a close thing.

Newcastle losing two of their last six home games and Brighton losing two of their last six away games.

Newcastle being away to Chelsea in their final game is one that could be tricky even if Chelsea are giving everyone basiocally a goal start by having Lampard as a manager.

Just looking at the fixtures now and had not realised that Man u also have to play Chelsea.

Do United players start to look to the FA cup final and maybe take their foot of the gas, not wanting to be injured and miss out on a place?

They are more likely to play harder and want to get a red card or an injury so that they miss the cup final

Pity the Cup Final is after their remaining games as I'm sure having their arses handed to them, gift-wrapped, on a silver platter by Citeh would just about kill them off completely.

As it is, Citeh up for the treble - and a parade that no-one will turn up for - and United will fall over the line like a wounded gazelle...

Shame United don't have to play Newcastle in the run-up as that would be an excellent bottle-job game to watch...

I am sure City is the second team for Utd supporters

Excellent! They are panicking. As much as it would be great to deny Man U CL. It would be even nicer to do it to Newcastle and their blood money.

I'd still rather nick it off Man United, but either would be sweet.

Newcastle getting in would be a ****ing disaster - it’s accelerates their growth plans exponentially and allows them to attract better players. They seem to be sensible in their purchasing so it’s not like they’d buy Pogba and Neymar!

The longer they are out if the CL the better. same as keeping City away from winning the CL
