And I can’t believe there were lots of people on Twitter blaming VVD for their first goal. We were set up for a break with Robbo bombing forward when Trent scuffed a ‘raking cross field ball’ at bollock level into their player leaving us without a left back. The way we play, we absolutely cannot afford to be losing the ball so cheaply like that. Trent has really struggled defensively this session but what’s killing us down the right is sloppiness like that.

Gomez hasn’t played CB in a while but he’s much better than he showed tonight. Could be wrong, but he looks a bit slower off the mark than he used to be.

Matip is world class though, his ability to dribble or pass out from the back is a miss in the build up too.
