The one thing knowing what he’s going to do and another stopping it. His right foot is a bit of a hammer - can generate incredible power yet has the ability to control and direct it.

I’ve noticed that he does occasionally vary it and tries on the outside even if it’s only to keep the fullback on their toes for the inevitable.

Hell yeah. Same as we all know Mo only shoots with his left foot so he’s going to cut inside but wow he’s been effective with it.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I thought his goal yesterday was very reminiscent of the Salah trademark goal. Just on the other side of the pitch.
          Oh I don't know.

He's been a brilliant option this year, really stepped up.

Great goal but other than that (and the first half shot) he was pretty inconspicuous. He only attempted 9 passes in 81 mins (7 successful)!

Possibly because they kept the play down our other side

10 goals and 2 assists in 15 games. It’s a numbers game when you are a forward looking good and delivering zero is no good.

His figures are good. I just don't think we attack with the same fluidity when he plays in place of Diaz. I think Diaz is the better wideman. Is doesn't get involved enough for me.

For me Diaz is something of an enigma, when he plays out left he has lots of activity driving runs exciting play etc, but his productivity doesn't seem that high. He plays through the middle, seems to be noticed less but seems to be much more productive in terms of goals at least. Gakpo out left and Diaz through the middle seems more productive but perhaps less entertaining
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I think its just trying to piece the players together. My main criticism has been that the forward line has never really gelled since Firmino left. I can see a better connection with Diaz centrally and Gakpo left. I though Gakpo would be better as a false nine, but his contribution wider has been top quality. Just think he needs a proper run there to refine his play.

Diaz too in the middle might be a godsend, as it gives him another direction to dribble into and adds to the unpredictability. Jota still seems better coming off the bench when defenders are a tiring. Still not sure where Nunez fits, but he is always an option when all else fails.
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

I thought gakpo would be the left hand attacking midfielder, and slobz on the right.
Both big strong fast lads who can do the running, closing down and supporting the striker and wingers.
Nunez is fluffing too many chances. He was good on the left and can then come inside.
Jota is too slow in a sprint.
In a fast breakaway we only really have salah who can stretch the play, but if we also had nunez left, Diaz central and salah right then we'd muller teams on the breakaway.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

14 goals 4 assists for the season now.

Looks full of confidence and loving life out on the left. Being able to play in the same position and getting more consistent starts has allowed him to show what he’s all about.

I reckon he’s got a bet on that he can get the first shot away each match. Every game he cuts inside & let’s ping with a sighter from 20 yds.

And finally one of his floaty crosses from the left led to a goal! They’ve been doing my head in all season
