Thanjk you.

It is rotten but Robertson shouldn't have gone in at him, he's pretty much barged the assistant there. I'd have reacted the same tbh, it's a natural reaction if someone was to get in ones face.
I think it looks worse than it was. Don't think Robbo comes out of it well either. And those claiming it is some sort of conspiracy, using the sending off in the Spurs game as evidence need to chill....yes, Kane should have been sent off but Robbo deserved his red card too.
Its proper handbags from both. robertson is trying to distract from the ****ty first half he had. The linesman barely touched him and was not trying to elbow him. I dont really care about the linesman. I do care about how Robertson conducts himself
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.
Doesn't really bother me but depending on what's happened the linesman should be looking at a very lengthy ban, longer than any player. They should be held to a higher standard, same as players giving out to people in the crowd.

TBH, I'm shocked that an official hasn't actualy ****ted a player before now, I feel sorry for most of them as the abuse they take is awful, compared to Rugby where the ref is Mic'ed up and they seem to have more authority. That said the VAR in rugby is ten times better than the PL. Football players are ****ing primadonna's that need to get taken down several pegs, I do get the emotion, but how many times does a ref reverse a decision with the exception of VAR, never ever, so what the point of having a bloody fir at the official.
FWIW, on the lino, I Don't give a flying **** what happens, but I bet Robbo gets a ban from this.

Well, occasionally a referee has assaulted a player in the past. Give it a Google. I remember Saint and Greavsie showing a player getting headbutted by a ref in Eastern Europe.
Blame the FA or blame FIFA. It comes from the top down but even if everything changed tomorrow, it would take 20-30 years at least for it to stop on the Sunday League pitches.
Its more surprising a player doesn't cave a refs ****ing head in. Training hard for years of their career only have to have some thick ****ing incompetent/corrupt cunt be completely unable to get anywhere near the correct decision even with the help of a god damn ****ting video and **** up their chances of winning something or cost them their status in a higher division.
couldn't put his little flag up quick enough for this horrendous challenge. Cant have this sort of thing happening on a football pitch

"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey
I am finding the reaction to Robertson and the linesman from the press and other fans really interesting. It's amazing how they will bend over backwards to justify what he did. I can't imagine the same reaction were it any other club. Was Robertson going to confront him? Yes, was he upset/angry? Probably. Officials have to deal with this sort of thing so often by that is no excuse, he should know better. When there are confrontations on the pitch between the players if one goes over and angrily shouts at another, you wouldn't say his opponent was justified in elbowing him in the face why would officials be held to a lower standard? And if they are (as many people seem to be suggesting) where is the line? Spitting at them? Punching them? Biting them?
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The mental gymnastics being employed by some sections of the media to justify the assault on Robertson

If Robertson was actually in the guys face screaming or threatening him you might understand it triggering a reaction, but trying to spin this incident as an understandable reaction to the overall levels of grief that all officials get is just weird. It was a crazily disproportionate response by the lino, **** that guy.
