Jota is a Portuguese Robbie Fowler regen. He's far more productive than Diaz and can play in the centre too.

He does remind me of Fowler. When Jota plays, we score goals. He played a big part in our end of season form/consistency.Originally posted by Fosterbloke View PostJota is a Portuguese Robbie Fowler regen. He's far more productive than Diaz and can play in the centre too.Another MASSIVE game

He loves to put a target on his back doesn’t he
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Quansah, McConnel and Scanlan surprised me a little, Quansah because I had little excpectations and two other because I have no idea who they are.Originally posted by SB View PostI was impressed with a few of the youngsters tbh.
Quansah did well in the 2nd half alongside Matip so it’ll be interesting to see what we do with him this season.
Clarke looks a real talent & certainly one for the future. Didn’t look out of his depth at all.
Bradley can expect game time if we don’t go into the transfer market for a new RB.
Doak possibly a loan to give him more experience but definitely a talent
McConnel never heard of him before but he did ok in midfield
Scanlan as above but on the left wing
Koumas not enough time to make an impression
Good workout though but work clearly needed on the tactics....hence pre-season I guess.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Yeah I’d only ever seen Quansah out of those three too. Clarke & Bradley & of course Doak did well, as I’d expect as they are a bit further along in their developmentOriginally posted by The_weatherman View PostQuansah, McConnel and Scanlan surprised me a little, Quansah because I had little excpectations and two other because I have no idea who they are.

I always think a player like Doak will have his best years 17 to 23. Owen, Rooney for 2, were arguably better when first coming on the scene. Pace more explosive and defenders underestimating them. If we're struggling and Salah is off the pace having one of those games, throw this lad on at 65 minutes and he'll rip through defences.Originally posted by RichC View PostBe surprised if a 17 year old gets much more than some time in the cups tbh. Saka, Ferguson and I am sure a few others played regularly at that age.
Wishful thinking but if we can get into that habit of being a couple of goals up it would be great to give him 20minutes at the end of games, no pressure._____________________________________

The runs he makes are fantastic. He isn't the quickest or the most technically gifted but he makes amazing runs, finds pockets of space and is very instinctual. If he is fit and firing, he'll be a huge asset to us.Originally posted by Corndog View PostJota looked good.
Having him fit will be a big boost. I think he can get 25 goals a season if everything clicks for him and he keeps his spot in the team.
He’s a great finisher, runner and is great with both feet.
IMO if I could compare him to any player it would be Freddie LjungbergOriginally posted by Rigadon View PostHe does remind me of Fowler. When Jota plays, we score goals. He played a big part in our end of season form/consistency.

But with his speed would the hamstrings have lasted anyway? He was ridiculous in those early years. Better to have those memories than an average longer career.Originally posted by rudedog View PostPlaying Owen so much when he was 17/18 completely screwed him long termAlways borrow money from a pessimist.
