Pavard’s best days are behind him and he’s want silly wages. It “worked” last season but we scraped home in a few of those games

Tbh I've not seen much of him lately to be honest. Also apparently he wants to be a CB.

The point was a RB of that calibre. I've a young child, so I only get to see our games these days.

Is Szob behind in his training? Looks tired and second best to everything. Not an issue as I'm sure, or hope, he'll look much better soon.

Yeah I agree with that. The defenders will need to keep alert specially to the ball over the top. I'm glad Alison didn't save that goal to mask the cracks.

Whilst he was very good from the creative perspective, Trent isn’t good enough defensively, for me. And he didn’t get 15 assists last season, did he?

I’m on board with shifting him into midfield. I’d rather we just actually did it in the conventional sense, as opposed to trying to make him some sort of weird “right back but not really right back but we play with 3 defenders to make it work” philosophy.

I’m agreeing with you but even though he isn’t brilliant defensively with the right guys ahead of him and inside him it worked - we won a CL, a PL and were the best club side in the world. Trent seems to think that RB is beneath him now, so as you just sign a RB and play him midfield, **** off the inverted ****.

He got 10 assists last year so pretty decent and I saw his expected assists were the highest of any season showing his wasteful we were up top

The frightening thing is that not only do we need a top class addition to midfield, our centre backs are pretty average. Konate is not top class unfortunately, whilst VVD and Matip are shadows of their best. Another example of hanging onto players far past their peaks.

Team looks so much more energetic than it has for the last couple of seasons. Midfielders are pressing and winning tackles. The attack will purr with Macallister and szoboszlai.

We still need a decent 6 and the hybrid formation still looks like it needs work.

Hijack Chelsea's run at Tyler Adams (20m release fee) so we have a back up player for both DM and RB, then get in a starting DM.


Do that and we could wait until January to bring in a LCB.

we'll definitely score goals but yeah I think we'll ship loads too unless we get someone in. We'll be fun and frustrating to watch imo.
