Nunez is the least of our worries in my opinion. He’s one of a number of good options up top. Defenders and defensive minded midfielders are an absolute must for us.

I’m really concerned about this season - we’re an absolute country mile off of being involved in the title race, a battle to get into the top 4 seems far more likely.

I feel like we are not really elite anywhere on the field now, so it will come down to how we operate as a team... unfortunately we are a bit all over the place at the moment.

We need to go back to being more compact at the back with a proper back 4.

Sides that ship loads of goals dont tend to have much success. You cant just over compensate by overloading the attack... it never works if your defence has holes

Bayern just about the better side in my opinion, and they are a decent team. Both teams have questionable defences. Not all doom and gloom by any means. Nice to see a few young players coming through.

I have a couple of takeaways which are slightly less cheery.

1. We have no depth. We are a couple of injuries away from being in all kinds of bother in defence and midfield. And let's face it we're not exactly known for wrapping our players in cotton wool.

2. Teams will consistently target our flanks when we press high and get a lot of success from doing so, especially our right. It's pretty clear to me that Klopp hasn't figured out how to deal with this. And he really needs to.

I'm not sure what to make of that. It looked like last season at times (not in a good way), but this is just pre-season, and we know Klopp likes to run them ragged, which means we look worse during these run outs. I guess I was hoping for a little bit more improvement, but again, it's the Chelsea game where I'll decide if it's time to **** the bed or not.

I'd rather focus on the first half as we had a decent team out. It was 2-2 which isn't too shabby, and really should have been 2-1 if VAR was in effect.

I do hope we sort out the TAA issue, he's undoubtedly talented but the uncertainty is affecting our shape and it's becoming a bit obvious where our weakest area lies.

Feels like it’ll be open season on our defence. Without proper midfield protection, we could be shipping 3s and 4s on a regular basis.
