Right flank, lack of experienced squad depth

We've signed two decent looking midfielders but by the same token we've lost every other senior midfielder from last season with the exception of Thiago.

We don't have an experienced 6 to replace Fab. Playing 4-3-3 will leave of defence more exposed than using without an competent six playing.

We've been shipping goals down the right for several seasons. The Trent experiment from the tail end of last season appears to have run it's course. The manager is either unable or unwilling to address the weakness on the right. We saw it today with Bayern. Lofted ball down our right hand side and their attackers had acres of room to run into.

    It's worrying.

The system shows promise, but to use it consistently we need 2 defensive mids and cover for konate… which won’t be easy to find. We’re 1 or 2 injuries away from an absolute cluster**** again.

Naive to think they won't be a much improved side to the one we seen last seen. They will pushing for the champs league spots no doubts.
I had a look at their current squad and it really isn't that impressive.

We have some obvious weak areas in our side at the minute, but so do they.

I bet you they address theirs before the window closes, whereas I’m not even slightly confident we will

Nice to see you back posting Craig fleeing visit or are you sticking about. Or does that depend?

Our squad isn't that impressive either, all I said was they'll be much stronger this season for the reasons I listed above and they will probably make a challenge for 4th place.

**** all this negativity bollocks. Of course we're not going to make wholesale changes like we do in friendlies but Clark, McConnell, Doak, and yes Elliott did alright against Bayern, I'd imaging they'd more than hold their own against dross sides.

The pass to him was **** and late.

Players all looked a bit leggy to me, no surprise as they're probably getting flogged in training. Some really good signings movement wise though. Macca and Dom are going to be class.

Jones isn't a 6, that much is clear. Wasting his best talents there and you could see him getting frustrated trying to tackle players.

Doak is seriously quick, if we use him properly he could be a real weapon late in games against tired legs.

Matip isn't going to work in this system. Way too slow to get over and cover. We'll get destroyed if we try the TAA coming inside tactic with him on the pitch.

Yup, as was the thunder cross from Doak in the closing stages.

It depends really on how much time I have.
