We're either going to ride our luck and challenge for the league or klopp will be gone by December. No half measures. Goals for and against by the bucket load. Going to be **** or bust.

It looked like last season at times (not in a good way), but this is just pre-season, and we know Klopp likes to run them ragged, which means we look worse during these run outs. I guess I was hoping for a little bit more improvement, but again, it's the Chelsea game where I'll decide if it's time to **** the bed or not.

I actually felt shape was pretty decent first and Bayern got through a few times because of tired legs, so would hope that bit of extra sharpness might make a big difference in a real match.

Apart from that, match didn't really tell us anything we didn't already know. Not sure it was enough to throw in the towel as some seem to be doing already, but we all support in our own ways.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

certainly vs the better teams who will target those flanks. We'll score loads though imo, not worried about that but yeah need reinforcements desperately in the midfield. Seen Mac going down and ****ting myself.

Wasn't many good performances to pick, obviously Davies was the stand out player but imo Dom was excellent, a driving force in the midfield and never stopped running....well he kind had to as the shape was all over the camp. Cody played well too imo.

Hard to disagree. Still no defensive signings. It's going to be a rough start to the league at this stage, regardless of what business we're going to do from now on.

Fourth is looking on sandy ground and a ball hasn't even been kicked.

The issues still appear structural to me. A lot of social media comments seem to be pinning their hopes on a DM to magically sort out our issues. Sure, we'd see improvements in terms of positioning, but we had a proper DM last season, and we were still carved apart too.

I don't think 19 year old Roméo Lavia is going to swoop in and be the answer to all our woes. Bayern are no mugs though, and we should have enough to fend off most of the dross in the League. Also, it was very hot, and we are still a few weeks away from the start of the season, so I'm still not ready to board the panic train, although I'm edging toward the platform.

I also thought Elliott did well.

Biggest problem for me was controlling and holding onto the ball. One thing Henderson did well was cycle the ball well to retain possession.

Less than 2 weeks to go => 11 days to Chavs away. Welcome aboard!

In fairness we had a very dysfunctional DM last year.

So were either of the two goals actually off-side? The stills seem to show Bayern on.

The same Chelsea that are scrambling now to try and get more midfielders in as they are bare boned in the centre and that are still trying to get a striker in.

Even their new defender will have very little time to get ready for teh new seasons.

Villa and Newcastle bother me more than Chelsea if I look at the opening five games for us. Both are settled teams with managers now established at the clubs.

Chelsea I think we will beat but could well be a scoreline similar to that of today, just in our favour.

Brighton playing a blinder for us, holding up Chelsea's transfer business and leaving them weaker than us in midfield.

Chelsea just signed another DM to go along with their other big money DM and they also signed 2 forwards and are looking at swapping Rom for Vlahovic. James and Chilwell are back fit, Colwill looks a potential star and they have far superior manager than they had last season. Naive to think they won't be a much improved side to the one we seen last seen. They will pushing for the champs league spots no doubts.
