Yup that’s what’s I mean though… the players/coaching staff are gossiping, dom talks about it in an interview, and then the rest are like da fuq lad, that was for your ears only…

Klopp turned him into Hendo mkII and burnt him out.
Went from being a De Bruyne clone in the first couple of months to a Hendo clone chasing people around the park like a dog.

Yep he was kind of the reverse of what you’d expect from a player who’s new to the Prem. Normally they start slow with less minutes & get used to the pace but he slotted straight in. Still I was surprised he only has 4 assists.Originally posted by danperkins View PostStarted off great, burned out and has been pretty woeful for the second half of the season or so. Interesting to see if he will be played further forward as the work horse role seems unsustainable for him.

Dominik Szoboszlai
I reckon his form took a nose dive shortly after he gave that interview where he said he heard of players at the club who were happy to be sitting on the bench. I nearly wonder did he make some enemies in the squad/coaching staff after that.

The only thing that’s surprised me in his 1st season with us is him only having the 4 assists. I think he’s been a great signing & im confident he’ll improve those stats so no cause for concern.
With two games to go, Szoboszlai has made 43 appearances this season to date with a return of seven goals and four assists, and it will be intriguing to see how Arne Slot uses him in 2024/25.

And he's suddenly playing it very safe. When he first came in he was so front foot and progressive

Anyhow, he's off the boil like lots of other players right now - I don't have a worry about him coming back stronger next season.
He is used more as an attacker for his national team and is often used as a wide player as he can play LM and RM.

I don't know that people are questioning his ability, I have seen a few people (myself included) say that on current form he shouldn't be in the side, but that's not the same thing. I think he's a good player who has made a good start to his LFC career but at the moment tiredness or otherwise he needs some time out of the side (the same applies to a few others as well IMO).Originally posted by Barnie7 View PostTotally agree...he is young, new to the Premier league and has run out of steam - I cant believe people are questioning him after a relatively sucessful 1st season
