That's a wild shout, but we are short at the back so **** it, lets give Buzzo a few startsOriginally posted by Irishnev View PostI agree with both of ye
But I’m angling more towards Buzzo at the moment. I think CB in modern football is the hardest position to play and for us even harder. You need to play such a high line and not be exposed , pass and carry the ball, be aerially dominant and great in 1v1 duels. He hasn’t looked out of place and also has the physicality plus temperament based on what is a small sample size.
I don’t know when we’ve had such a talented young CB come through our own ranks tbh. I’m really excited by him but we still need another CB added to the pool

There was a time where this would be a dream, it is now, in my current condition, the stuff of nightmares.
That said, if the moneys good. I'll get my boots.Modifying post.

I do wonder how much damage a normal bloke would do making a 15 minute sub appearance in a Premier League game. Would be some spectacle to see it happen

Would require paramedics surrounding the pitch and mental health professionals for before and after.
...And very selective footage release.Modifying post.

‘Jarel Quansah has made an unexpectedly bright start to his Liverpool career. He has not put a foot wrong in the minutes he has had on the pitch. This may end up saving the club a considerable amount of money. We want it placed on the record that this view does not mean he will make it as a future first team regular. That said he has every chance and the contributors at EST1892 would like to wish him the very best of luck’.

The closest one I can think of is Ali Dia, who convinced Souness he was George Weah's cousin and made an appearance for Southampton
But even he, as **** as he was, was a lot better than the average bloke

Days later, Dia was signed by Southampton manager Graeme Souness, after Souness received a phone call purporting to be from Liberian international and then-FIFA World Player of the Year George Weah. "Weah" told Souness that Dia was his cousin and had played for Paris Saint-Germain as well as 13 times for his country and should give him a chance at Southampton. None of this was true and the phone call to Souness was a hoax.[7] Souness was convinced and Dia was signed on a one-month contract. However, it is disputed who made the initial call to Souness. Some sources state it was Dia's friend from university,[7] while some say it was Dia's agent,[8] and it has also been suggested that it was Dia himself who made the call. It was later reported that the same stunt had been pulled on Gillingham, who offered Dia a trial, but was let go by manager Tony Pulis who said that Dia was "rubbish". Harry Redknapp, then manager of West Ham United, also received the same call but dismissed it as "a wind-up".[9]Originally posted by Sus View PostWhat a great shout, I would love to see that

Edited: He is talented and I have had nothing but praise for him. I've already said that several times but it's a tiny sample size and he is a kid. We have fragile defence at the moment with several injuries (Trent added to that) and we have injury prone defenders that are current fit. I don't like the idea of "Right we have Quansah we're grand". It's very early days for him, I like him but I'll hang back from saying he's class, worth 50m and what a break through season when he has only played a few games. I thought my comments were reasonable and logical as we have been here before. I think it's crucial to add to the defence in this window, just as it was crucial when we didn't get a CB when Lovren went & DM last season. Many posters said back then "Ah we're fine we don't need a CB when Lovren left & ah we don't need another midfielder last season and it royally ****ed us. The league is there for us, we have a massive opportunity here & I would hate for us to fall short because we rested on our laurels "once again" and didn't add to the squad. We don't have to sign Maldini, just solid cover as a just incase.Originally posted by Irishnev View PostI agree with both of ye
