So they can't do Wed CL, 12.30 KO, but it's okay for the PL?

      Makes sense...
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I do think we need to change tactics to get the best from them, it's notable how much we drop off when Salah is subbed off.
Last time around, Mo came back from the ACN and played like an arthritic hippo.

In fact I dont really think he recovered from his loss of pace and agility from around that time. While he is racking up numbers, he has clearly lost the ability to go past defenders. I worry too much football isnt helping. But hopefully by the we will be clicking a bit more. Diaz Gakpo Nunez is still a decent forward line.
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

That's really **** isn't it. Both away too at opposite ends of the country. Surprised we weren't faced with Newcastle and Brighton aways...

How would people rate this team in terms of potential for goals scored?

This squad feels like we’ve got more goals now than any other Klopp team. More goals in midfield and you got to feel all the attacking players could easily get double figures in goals each.

Yeah I agree but it also comes with an expectation that we’ll concede more goals too. Still I’d much rather watch us than United & their ropey 1-0 wins

I think the front 3 still have a way to go to match peak Mane, Firmino and Salah but the goal distribution does seem much more equitable now.

Nunez is unbelievable, if he is able to improve his composure and finishing, he will be a 30 plus goal a season striker. Had some great moments against toulouse only for the finish to let him down or be rushed. Nevertheless, he is improving.

Klopp and his team deserve a lot of credit for how they have been able to overhaul the midfield so much and quickly make them look like a unit. I’m not sure I’ve seen another team at this level change 4 CMs like this in one window and have it look better than before.

Some great performances from some of the younger players too this season already. Jones has definitely gone up another level or two, Quansah has been great, Doak looks like he could one day be world class. Those 3 could ave the club a lot of money, that can then be invested in signings like szobo.

Agree we will concede some goals we shouldn’t but as it evolves I think we can keep the goal threat and start to improve our defensive side.

Once the new midfielder really finds its feet and we can get the inverted fullback and 6 positions more finely tuned it could look more solid or maybe we revert back to a more traditional 433 but it seems unlikely now.

Maybe that comes with another 6 who’s more mobile and athletic, not knocking Endo or Mac Allister as I like them both but I think we’d all like to see Mac Allister higher up the pitch to see what he can produce there. Also I think Endo needs more time to settle in and is improving each game he has which is good to see. So a 6 to compete and rotate with Endo who has some different qualities and give us a good balance of options.

Also a new CB with the same physical attributes that fits the inverted fullback system. It seems all our LB options are more suited to getting forward rather than tucking in to a wide CB. When Matip probably goes next season that can be the time to add that player to go along with what Quansah is showing so far.

The overall threat from multiple options is what I was thinking about. They could all get double figures in goals a season and the different styles and qualities they all have makes it great to rotate depending on opposition and how the game is going. Having two of Gakpo, Mo, Nunez, Diaz and Jota on the bench is amazing.

That front 3 will always be so special and hard to beat with their understanding and ability but we’ve gone from three genuine threats with handy back ups to 5 options who most teams would love to have.

And we do seem to have an exciting group of youngsters coming through. I don’t know if we just have more quality, better recruiting or better coaching but they are lots of options. It helps having a coach who trusts them and is willing to give them opportunities, and the europa league could be a massive blessing in disguise for their development and potential money saved. When you add in Bobby Clark, Calvin Ramsey, Conor Bradley, Bajcetic, Kaide Gordon and more who others will know better it’s looking good. They won’t all make it but some will hopefully.
