The talk when Ancelotti extended was because they were looking to Xabi as their new manager from the 26-27 season.
Xabi has talked before about how he wouldn’t be rushed with his career progress and will do it at his own pace. So he might be a bit too early for him coming to us.*Except Michael, who died.
