From what I hear they [Liverpool] should be in position to make more concrete advances on whoever emerges as their top [managerial] target pretty soon.

Rúben Amorim's agent has bought an apartment in Liverpool.

#LFC and Amorim are in final negotiations regarding the coach's contract.

Why we practically own half of Albert Dock these days, and I'm sure Zindane can rent his Melwood House out
I make no apologies, this is me

Why would we want his agent as manager
        Really?

Oddly enough there are a couple squad players living there along with non playing staff there.

Plenty of the first team are regulars at some of the restaurants near the Colonades too. More when we had more South Americans.

Kelleher is like the pied piper there sometimes when he is out and about as there are a lot of folk from Cork ( a strangely disproportionate amount actually) living on the Albert Dock and in the Queen Dock/Coburg Dock so the accents tend to draw each other like magnets

Always amuses me when I stay over at Michelle's place in the Colonades how many Cork accents are in her building and also around the Dock area in general.

When I used to live across the road in One Park West I was pretty much the only Paddy In The Village for a time which is some going in Liverpool to manage to be the only obvious Irish person in an apartment block.

It pretty much has to be Amorim at this point right?

                  Yeah, I think so.

Edit - on Amorim, not Uptopia man.

I just think that it's probably easier for a new manager to come in after Klopp if we don't win anything major like the league or the CL/Europa as won't have any huge expectations other than Klopp's legacy at the club. The manager will probably need to have a big personality to get the fans onside quickly as we have been spoilt with Klopp so it will be imperative that his team shows some signs of regular improvement/steadiness other than regression while getting to grips with the formation/tactics the new gaffer wants to play.
Of course, there will be times when there be games where the team will have a bad one but show progress willingly under the new regime.
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

was thinking the same myself, imagine the pressure of coming in after Klopp if we had won the treble.

We would have a hard time trying to get a manager in & probably having to offer 2 or 3 times the salary to get someone in!

Good points. With short term memories us fans will be overly impressed if we simply start scoring goals again next season. Doubt we'll score many more this season.
                              One tit for another.

With Sporting looking likely to win the tittle this season Amorim is showing the ability to rebuild his team and take them to the top again. How many top players would clubs like Sporting lose every season. While he wouldn’t lose players like that here if he comes the need to have a manager that can reshape his squad and win again is something the club would be looking at.
