It really isnt. Most footballers are on their last professional contracts. Very few are competeing at the top, especially ones whio rely on pace. Salah can adapt and has shown that, but sometimes there can be a sharp decline.
But 31 is not "young" [emoji16]
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.
Mo had 12 shots at goal for a single score, which is a record by the way. I wonder what the reaction would have been if it was anyone other than Mo? 1 out of 12 & it’s not like the keeper had a worldie or anything. Thankfully it didn’t cost us in the end & I hope he’s saved the goals up for SU.

Well Haaland has 1 goal from his last 13 shots on goal.
2 from his last 21 shots on goal.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

None of them were high quality chances, except for the one he scored. I was cursing him as well but only because I expected him to score a few of those worldies matter of factly.
That freekick stat really doesn’t look like it could or should be right based on the other stats
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
Bear in mind that Brighton player's collapsed in a heap at the first sign of a touch from our lads, and that inept ref bought every single theatric they conjured up.

Two were high quality chances, for the players he should have passed to. One in the first half sticks out when he volleyed way over with Darwin unmarked on the edge of the six yard box. But **** happens, I’m not slating him, he wasn’t particularly poor, he was just quite wasteful with the ball, but he’s been like that for quite a while. Usually his composure in the box more than makes up for it, and he kept it for the winner.

Oh yes I dont mean young as in 16. He's the type of player who can still go for another 4-5 years easy. Thats all I meant.

Kenneth summed it up quite well, it’s not that they were high quality chances but that he was greedy in taking the shots instead of looking for a team mate. That’s what frustrates me about Mo. Ppl say yeah but he’s got X number of assists but he could have X x2 in reality.

In 'reality' he's created more big chances than any other player in the league this season, despite missing a large chunk of it. If we are expecting double the amount of assists from a player, what planet are we getting this player from?
It goes back to what Buzzo says, despite leading the way and breaking all sorts of goal scoring records, some people will still obsess over what he didn't do.
I know you aren't one of those people SB, but to criticise his assist stats this year in particular is a little obsurd.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
