Who is selling their ticket for a 1/4 final?

Too easy to blame tourists. There still has to be 90+% regulars. I just think the whole vibe was underestimating them.

If what you're saying is true then that's shameful. I assumed there was a large number of tickets sold elsewhere.

I’m not saying flags make a difference. It seems preposterous to say so. But maybe changing routine and in stadium dynamics does subtlety affect mentality for 50k home supporters and 11 players. The only available evidence is; we got humped 3-0 at a home game where there was a protest and no flags and we really needed a strong performance on and off the pitch. We were unbeaten in 33 at home until tonight.

Weakened team sent onto the pitch and weakened crowd.
Nice memory for Klopp's last European home game

Not sure you get many tourists at a Thursday night Europa league tbh. I’ve been to Anfield many times and it’s usually the “day trippers” who sing the most IMO

Having said that, the away Atalanta support were brilliant

Feel like everyone (fans and media) were talking about the final in Dublin, as if we were guaranteed to get there.

Good enough for them, just hope it lights a fire under them for the remaining league games. If we want to win that, there’s no more room for error.

support was terrible & a shocking idea to do the protest last night.

There will be a lot of air bnbs in Dublin getting cancelled.

They are going to feel very silly after we win 5-1 in the away leg

There's not really a justification about ticket prices either - they've gone up a tiny amount - compared to just about everything else.

Spectacularly backfired on us. It might not have changed anything about last night but the crowd wasn't up for it.

The rights or wrong about protesting ticket prices is not really the issue imo. The % the tickets have gone up looks small, but a 2% increase looks and feels that bit bigger if a person's income drops by say 10% or the general cost of living rises by X amount.

It was the when it was done that is the issue for me.

Do it emasse before and after the games, and then get behind the team between the starting and ending whistles.

Or if people really wanted to make a point, then don't turn up at all and leave seats empty for the cameras.

But if you are going to go into the ground and take your seat anyway, then once the whistle goes the team needs you.

The team for the most part played badly last night and I think it is fair to say that the supporters last night supported badly for the most part too. Perfect storm of half-heartedness on and off the pitch.

Same thing with the streams of people leaving the ground after the 82nd minute. I say that minute as that was when it became very obvious onscreen as you could not miss it when the camera shots showed the stands.

I don't think it entered anyone's head that we'd get beat last night hence why it was chosen as the game to protest the ticket prices.

Complacency ruled supreme both on and off the field
