Then the whole FSG line is that their hands are going to be tied when it comes to transfers so it wouldn’t surprise me if we see very little activity this summer, maybe a new manager at the 11th hour. If they are planning on selling, they will want to spend as little as possible.
If any or all of Edwards, Hughes, Slot are leaving, then moves will already be underway to fill their positions. The operation will carry on, even if the people change.

Even if FSG are looking to sell, that woukd be a lengthy process. Signings won't adversely effect the valuation of the club, so no reasons why signings wouldn't continue to happen.

And as a manager, when players might be more aware of him, he has been pretty **** as a PL manager.

Don't think what a manager was as a player years ago really matters much, other than for being able to make a sound bite out of, to players that come along 15 to 20 years later. They will just be interested in what a manager makes them do in training, what a manager has won as a manager and if that manager can get them to win that stuff as well.
I'm not a fan of Gerrard as a manager and seems like a bit of a tool but absolutely everyone at LFC, no matter how young or where they have came from would have heard of Gerrard. He is an absolute LFC legend, local lad, one of the greatest players ever to play for the club and in the premier league. Hard not to respect that & what he achieved as a player.

Yeah but all that is pretty worthless as a manager if you cannot make it translate to what you are trying to train players to do, to how you want them to set up within a team.

Yes he had a great career, yes he will be a LFC legend now and long after he has passed on, but that counts for almost nothing when a team needs to be set up, have tactics explained/created for them, have in game changes made on the fly and so on.

Not so sure that the fans singing Gerrard's song during games is worth an awful lot in a game where we need tactical tweaks or what Gerrard being a great player does for getting MacAllister to be less **** and so on.

He was badly shown up as being a really poor manager at Villa, even more so after Emery came in and was able to make effective tactical changes with the same squad straight away. The same legendary player whose record demands respect from players line was being trotted out when he got the Villa job too.

I really do not see what he brings as a football manager. Might as well get Fowler in to be the manager if all it takes is having been a great player years back. Plus they can get to meet Gerrard the ex player almost anytime he is at a game and most probably have met him a number of times.

Think we need a manager that is a boss to the players and who gets their respect through what he has done and can do as a manager. As a guy that sees how to improve them, as a guy whose tactics gets them medals and sees them get a win bonus more often.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Quite the opposite if the signings caused an improvement in results.

Early days in his career but what about Craig Bellamy?

                    Ange Postecoglou?

Finished 17th with Spurs. Fired by Forest after failing win a single game.

Yes, brilliant shout! Why has no-one mentioned him before?

At the moment imo we need a manager that can motivate the players and get some passion and desire into the side. I do think it's that simple, the talent is there but we look mentally and physically fragile. I don't know if Gerrard could inspire, I'm not a fan but Arne Slot clearly can't.

Bellamy would do that and he has the added bonus of knowing the club and getting the fans. The Wales players seem to really enjoy playing under him.

I wouldn't mind taking a golf club to half the players myself. But, yeah, nah.

No more bald managers please. Should be an automatic disqualification.
