I wouldn't be surprised if he is still here next season, he was they guy they wanted based on the stats and profile etc. I think the could easily view it as one bad season with alot of mitigating factors. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Agree I don’t buy the line coming out and the club isn’t one to say anything else right now. Plus plenty of overseas journalists have been saying Alonso is being lined up.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostThey have to say that whilst there is much to play for.
They can’t exactly come out and say ‘the bald fraud has been found out, don’t tell anyone, but we are going to give him the bullet the moment the season ends’.
I mean, there’s obvs a chance it’s true but this rings of the end of the Roger’s era when everyone can see that the things that need fixing have grown way outside of the managers ability to fix them. He is careering from one tactic and formation to another.
We are now taking on water to a point where it’s impossible to see us staying afloat. At least with this captain (#metaphor!)
It’s interesting that the standards keep dropping. First it was he needs champions league football next season and now it doesn’t matter where we finish. If that’s the real attitude no wonder the standards have dropped on the pitch.

With all these articles about backing Slot next season one key piece is missing and that’s any talk of a new deal. If they really did back him and think there were issues beyond his control this season they’d give him a new deal. They keep saying they want to give him everything he needs to succeed so wouldn’t that include a new deal too.

Get a manager to match that.Originally posted by Cerbie View PostI don't think there is any chance of Kompany coming to us if Pep is leaving City. Is Luis Enrique realistically available? His current contract runs to the end of next season. He has built one of the best-performing CL sides at PSG. Why would he cleave that to come to us?Felching ≠ Gerbilling

Would be pretty ****ing funny getting Kompany in and beat City at Etihad hahaKlopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.

Agree on liking Kompany and his approach. Even when the teams ahead he wants them to keep going and no stopping and sitting back. No defensive substitute either. Dominate from start to finish and show everyone how good you are. Big club mentality. I want to see the team go out and attack and not just win but scare opposition and be a team no one wants to play against.Originally posted by badpiggy View PostSure, yes but I'm just saying who I'd like. We were told Slot was the top choice because of how little change there would be to the team and style of play and how he was very similar to Klopp in terms of football style. But the more he puts his mark on the team the further it is from anything like Klopp.

He came, played very similar to Klopp's team with a few tweaks and won the league

Then changed everythingI saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

Thars what makes him look useless. Tbe furtber he gets from Klopp the worse the team looks.Originally posted by Fierce View PostThis is what bugs me

Slots team identity has no identity. Its just 11 players trying to play football with no real an or direction. It feels like a dinosaur tactically. There is nothing there. In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

100%. Under Jurgen - and Rafa too in fairness and somewhat recently - no team wanted to be drawn against us in Europe, especially at home. The feeling is obvious now that home and away, league, CL and any competition, most teams will feel they've got a real chance against us.Originally posted by peterbread View PostAgree on liking Kompany and his approach.
