i mean i'm fine to get rid of him, but any number of things could be issues.

Maybe they should try getting it up the pitch and into the net. Then see if that works as a plan for them.

End of the day they are pro players and little things like controlling a ball, passing said ball quickly, making runs, supporting teammates and so on should easy for them regardless of any tactics that might confuse them.

There was a clip put up yesterday of Wirtz battling to win a ball and then having to battle again to hang onto it, then when he comes away with the ball the majority of the senior players in the team are still behind him and not making themselves open or rushing to join him.

Think only two players made any attempt to create angles for Wirtz, one being Jones, but as no other player in our team moved forward at all the other team had at least four players to block the channels to those two players.

That kind of thing has been happening game after game after game. We complain here that it is all so slow and ponderous but a big part of that is players holding onto the ball for ages causing play to break down or when a player does try to grab a moment by the scruff of teh neck his teammates are showing no interest in going with him and time after time the replays are showing the same senior players being the ones holding back.

So players might point to the manager over tactics and a few other things, which might be valid, but the same players are doing their own fair share in making us a ponderous slow disjointed unit.

As said yesterday a simple and small thing as taking two touches less before passing to a teammate would speed our play up an awful lot and force the other team into being the one that has to reset more often instead of our own slow play constantly forcing ourselves to have to rest.

obv slot needs to at least do the bare minimum if he wants the job, but who else is even near klopp with being able to bring through young players in a team full of stars that normally competes for the biggest prizes?

      genuine question.
Unai Emery is my choice, sorry Harvey.

Above absolutely everything else, I don't want Steven Gerrard anywhere next or near the club. One of our greatest players but that's where it stops.

Think the Klopp bit needs to be removed from any discussion about a new long term manager. There is only one Klopp and nobody else is going to be able to bring all he brought.

The second bit though, the bringing through young players in a team that is still capable of going for titles. That is interesting as not every team that goes for titles is bringing through lots of young players at the same time, hell even under Klopp we were not doing it an awful lot until the team was very well established and even then it was young players that were levels above their peers for the most part.

Another big thing will be who wants the job and how available that person is in terms of their contract wherever they are now.

The guy that would interest me (and he was rumoured to be getting English lessons last year) is Simone Inzaghi.

Very adaptable manager that likes to use a mix of established and up and coming players but that also has a track record of creating teams that look like they would run through walls for him and he has a reputation of being a very good comunicator with his players and coaching staff. Plus at 49 years of age he may well be at a point where a big challenge might tempt him. He will have one year left on his contract come this June.

Yep a **** manager and keeps vile company what with all the Irish criminal scum he seems to like hanging with in Liverpool and Dublin.

Who knows if these rumours are actually true, or if a few blaggers are reading the way the wind is blowing re DoF / manager disputes at other clubs and putting some random crap online

Anyone know how reliable these posters are?

Had not realised that Slot, albeit over the small sample size of 85 games, is the manager with the highest win % from competitive games in the history of the club.

Kenny (first time around) is in second place and Klopp is in third place.

There is idle Luis Enrique talk on Twitter, supposedly turned down a PSG contract offer as he wants a new challenge in the summer and wants to come to England……he’d be great but surely City would be all over it!

It’s been debunked. It all stemmed from claims that Bild were reporting it. Turned out to be false.

Well done, Chip pisser. We just cannot have nice things eh?

Mark3 would have had the decency to let folk get excited about a rumour first. But noooooo, out comes 79 waggling his willy and going for Nev's chips.

Ok, if it’s Fox News you want,

Jurgen Klopp has returned to Liverpool tonight. He has personally cleared out Slot’s office and thrown all of his belongings across the car park at Kirkby.

His full backroom team will be announced in due course, but he has already requested Doc Piptorious to be that guy that walks alongside him to the pitch side live tv interviews to tell him exactly what he should say to the media.

The club have also announced that they will replace Nev’s pissy chips with a fresh portion.
