I think he’d want to have a good look at what he has and see what he can do with them. A CB and a couple new attacking players are the obvious picks for most people.

Let's develop the kids some more and spend more on a few quality first team players and back the kids to provide the depth again. They did alright this season and Slot has a reputation for using and developing the young players.

We need to bear in mind the potential for a few/several key players to jump ship, and the need to settle in some new blood. It may take a while to integrate new guys.
So long as we see maximum effort then things should fall into place, but it may take time.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Chelsea, Newcastle, Villa and United have way deeper pockets than us and could be a couple of big signings off improving.

Although as long as bar Emery they keep the same Lemons in charge we should be ok.

Good start is imperative which means we will be ****ed over on the fixtures!!
Chelsea are crap, pure and simple, Poch can't get a tune out the, they also have to sell to buy - I can see them being where they are now next season. Newcastle, gain sell to buy, I think they have their level. Utd, so much depends on egghead and if he stays or goes. INEOS won't be able to influence much if he stays and much if he goes - Utd will be asleep for another year.
Villa on the other hand, Emery has done a good job, but, not sure on villas spending, can he do the same again YOY ?

Re us - Squad is capable, playing style is subject to small changes - We should be top 3 easy.

Spurs for me is the dark horse, they have **** loads to spend, rolling in cash match days, and if they back Ang, I reckon they are the ones that can push really hard next year
I make no apologies, this is me

I'd like to see him prioritise the league next year. **** the carabao and **** the fa cup. Those 2 x 1week warm weather training camps in dubai did wonders for arsenal.

Genuinely play the kids in both of these competitions. I think if jurgen did that 2 years ago, we may have won tje league.

We are not winning the league with a newbie next season. A trophy will help settle him and give a winning mentality

I love that point about how he copes in a crisis. I mean - let's say - the NHS has cured cancer by preventing the behaviours that cause it, but how would they react in a cancer crisis? The jury is out..
              Really?

Depends on whether he says something stupid or does some obviously second rate things, in both cases like Hodgson. If he avoids that and is generally sensible, it is then about avoiding a long bad run whilst turning the team into his team. The Souness lesson here is don't change too much too quickly. We know that, even without Klopp's magic, we have a decent squad but tweaks are needed in defence and attack. Do those tweaks, add a bit of variation and bring on a batch of youngsters and that'll do for the first season. Might not be enough to win a trophy, but would be a good foundation to progress from - and the real test will be whether that progress is forthcoming.

So we are going from predictapool to flexipool.

Very interesting to see a more detailed breakdown about his system and how our players could fit in to it. I’d be very happy to see more versatility in our approach and more of a willingness to change things around.

Thinking about it, my biggest take away from that was, "Why didn't we go for the PSV coach?".

BTW - I have no idea who he is, so I probably expect someone to say it's Steve McClaren or some dinosaur.

                                It’s Peter Bosz.

He’s 60 years old and had a bit of a nomadic managerial career.
In his last 3 jobs prior to PSV, he’d been sacked by Dortmund, Leverkusen and Lyon, all within a year or 2 of joining. His teams in Germany and France conceded a lot of goals.

This season’s Eredivisie title will be his first trophy of any note as a coach.
