Our current managerial set-up above Slot would put the brakes on Klopp returning as he fell out with a number of those guys while at Liverpool. It would take summat extraodinary to happen in that cosy set-up they have for Klopp to come back.

If they sack him mid-season they’ll have someone else lined up and you’re right it probably won’t be Klopp. If he resigns I could see them putting Rob Page in charge as an interim. I can’t see them sacking him though. If we have a decent showing in the CL and qualify for next year’s I think they’ll give him longer. Brendan failed on both of those and they still gave him until October of the following season.Originally posted by Angryred View PostOur current managerial set-up above Slot would put the brakes on Klopp returning as he fell out with a number of those guys while at Liverpool. I get what you're saying mate but he's a ****ing terrible football manager and we'd quickly start dropping even more points than we already are.Originally posted by baitman View PostSlot and his cohort of faceless ass kissers can all **** off.
There is no passion or personality amongst them.
No one from within LFC...
I know there are big squad issues, but there is no inspiration to motivate any of the team.
You may laugh, but its going to come down to Gerrard stepping in.
He has his issues, but he should at least inspire some passion and belief in this bunch of bedwetters.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Absolutely nothing remotely funny about the possibility of Gerrard managing us. That idea can **** right off.Originally posted by baitman View PostSlot and his cohort of faceless ass kissers can all **** off.

A lot of rumours about some underlying issues. Not that surprising given how the season has gone.
Main rumour circulating seems to be around Arne wanting Ngumoha to to go out on loan and Hughes wanting him and Nyoni to be used more. Suggests that Arne and DOF are not aligned which makes sense given the lack of balance in the squad.

Very unseemly, if any of this is true, to be playing it out in public.
And if spats with Slot is why the likes of MacAllister, VVD and others are taking so many touches on the ball and playing in a slow manner, then **** them for putting themselves over the club that no small number of them claim to love.
They have issues with a manager, real issues, then they know there is a chain of command they can follow and if they don't want that, then hand in transfer requests and state that the manager is why they want out to the powers that be.
Plus if any of this is true then it straight away puts almost any new manager under pressure to be liked by the senior players rather than being their boss/coach.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I think that’s quite an idealistic interpretation of how things break down, and that’s in any business. When the **** starts to hit the fan it is never linear. It’s not the military so frustration leaks from all points. That’s where being a strong manager of people and a communicator is so crucial in a management role. That’s one thing Ove never really got from Arne that genuine connection between him and his squad. And to be honest there is nothing official in these rumours. But the levels of dissatisfaction are likely to be long standing and the proof of it is the genuinely baffling performances we have at times been delivering on the pitch.Modifying post.
