Not seen the interview but could the "difficult to find minutes" bit mean starts?

Tbh I think not playing Rio at times this season, even late on in games, was the right thing to do for the period when we were losing games for fun. He is such a young player that his development imo did not need that level of intensity/negativity given the spotlight we are generally under as a team.

Now that we are getting better results I do think he should be coming on more often late in games against tired legs.

Slot was happy to rotate LW last season when he had 2 options that he was happy with.

His real message here may be that he doesn’t consider a 17 year old prospect as an adequate replacement for a 1st choice senior player like Diaz.

Slots completely wrong on him. He's excellent and should be getting more than 1 game in 10. But hes got no problem with **** performance after **** with gakpo.
