I ended up watching the game last night with a Rangers fan. Interestingly he was saying you can see his influence all over this Liverpool team. He said it was exactly like watching Rangers under him…. Slow build up style called the horseshoe - a disaster domestically but not too bad in Europe!

I’d love to know what a bunch of new players change. Will they get the team fitter. Will they be the coaches that get them to player this mythical football that we all will suddenly love because the longer you are here the more horrible it gets.

Everyone has injuries, it’s not like we’ve had it worse than other teams. We lost to Bournemouth when they hadn’t won a game in something like 11 matches and had more injuries than us at the time and lost 3 of their starting back four this season.

If you could see something coming together as the season progressed maybe you could understand how this player or that player might add to it but there is no pattern of player, no clear plan. The new players still look lost and a shadow of what they were at their previous clubs and the players who were here last season look lost and have all dropped off massively.

The same issues week in week out and nothing is being done to change it. But get a few new players in and you’ll all be shown how wrong you are. Ok I believe you Slot. Now does it have to be the first choice players because that’s not always going to happen, what happens if you don’t get those players do we have to wait for you to get the perfect team because that’s the only way your style works.

The game is up, it’s now down to FSG but as one prick once said, when the herd moves it moves… whether it be now or ten games into next season, the herd ain’t coming back. This is much bigger than a few new players, this is system and deeply rooted. He’s not ready for this level.

The highlighted bit is bollocks.

He won a league title as coach. Not many do that at Liverpool FC. This season is has all turned to utter muck, but no manager or coach that win a league title with us can be the "Worst manager in the history of the club"


And the bit about going home to another city or country to visit family between games. He is not the first manager in our history, especially recent history, to do stuff like that and will not be the last. He was doing the exact same last season and we were not complaining about it.

His kids supposedly had final school exams, one last year and one this year, so not going to knock the man for putting the home life of his kids over having them move country at that time of their lives.

It has gone tits up for him this season and realistically there is no coming back for him now imo, but that does not take away from how well he did last season.

I also do not really give a toss about whatever he waffles about in interviews. I tend to try and ignore whatever a coach or manager has to say in them, but even a coach that knows he is a goner is not going to say that in post match pressers until his final one at the earliest.

Fully expect him to be gone either by Monday week or by 1st June at the latest.

He gave things one hell of a shot as the coach of Liverpool Football club. We have seen horrible lows under him this season but also a season with an incredible high last season.

Worst manager ever for us? Not even close to being that.

There are a lot of players protecting themselves for the World Cup in key positions. McAllister, Isai, wirtz, jones is out of his depth, Gomez is out of practise., gapko is just so off form it’s incredible. Defence is just so poor from set pieces, and there is no pace in the back two.

Yes we have injuries but…

Dominic will be player of the season, but only because the rest are so poor.

Only Rio looks positive.

If Liverpool do retain Slot, I think they need their heads examining…

There are no signs of a system.

Coaches need to be replaced as well as about 7 first teamers including the captain. He has a role to play and that is managing the team. Scoring headers is all nice but where is the leadership…

Honestly I think if Alonso is going elsewhere (Chelsea) then it's probably a sign that they are backing Slot. I know anything is possible but a turnaround from where we are to challenging for the title next season would be remarkable and in my view is unlikely...

Changed my mind, don't want to hear that buying players is the answer. We want to know why the current players levels have dropped so badly and what he can do to fix it.

The last game could be very awkward. Supposed to be a send off for Salah, and end of season celebration, but we could very well lose the game and miss out on the CL. Now Salah might score a winner that gets us qualification, and vibes might improve, but it might be a pretty uncomfortable for everyone.

Alonso might be Chelsea manager and we might be in the Europa league next weekend.
