I think Newcastle were the last team to lose the league to a narrative.

I personally don't care, we seem to be approaching our games the right way and not getting ahead of ourselves.

Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Last 5 games and last 6 games we are identical, identical goals scored and conceded too. We are level on points for last 10 games, us with the better GD (although not sure why they have Arsenal ahead on that table).

Apparently though there is another version of form based on perceived performance levels. You won't find a table for that one..

This week is tough bur realistically we need 2 points per game for remainder of season, which would be the worst form we would have shown all season.

Arsenal need 2.61 points per game to chase down that low bar and hit 87 points, which would be the best form they've shown for a year.

It isn't going to be easy but if we're talking about form alone then there isn't anything to suggest Arsenal will come out on top.

It was more the strange coincidence I was pointing out, rather than making any point about who the better team is.

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Fair point, when you factor in that Arsenal's 1st team lost to Newcastle twice and United in the cups, then we are clearly ahead.

I saw a chart of it somewhere yesterday, the only team to lose from this position (or better) in the last x period of time was Keegan’s Newcastle. In fact, they had a 12 point lead with 13 games to go

              I’d love it…..

I think it's fair to say that we were the best team by a margin in the first third of the season.

The second third was shared with Arsenal, seeing as the gap didn't dramatically change either way.

Who will come out on top in the final third? It could genuinely go either way, but we have a huge advantage. Just got keep matching Arsenal and we're home.

A loss tonight and people will really start getting jittery though.

But Newcastle had a monster of a team chasing them. Today it would be similar to Pep's previous teams chasing us.

                      "Easy-ish "
Soton, West Ham, Leicester, Spurs. Palace, Brighton 18pts.

                      "Harder"
Villa, Man City, Newcastle, Everton, Fulham, Chelsea, Arsenal 7pts from them would be enough imo A draw with Arsenal would seal it.

March from being quiet has become a bit of a barsteward. Our two CL games against Benfica or PSG are on 4th and 11th (away and home). That means it's practically games every 3/4 days until the international break.

Thank feck for the FA Cup weekend (and us not having to play City in that too!!!).

True and I’m not saying we’ll collapse from here. I am sure Arsenal will not be perfect - we have 9 home games left. Win them and I think we’ll do it

                            7 home games isn’t it?
