I can't see us dropping any points after we've won it. The pressure will be off, it's been like a chain around the player's necks, IMO.

I think we end up on 94pts and a GD close to 60

Depends how we approach it, Slot might want to give squad players and youngsters some game time as auditions for next season etc. Or continue playing regulars but they might have lost their edge with nothing to play for, alternatively we could be more relaxed and hammer some teams. They seem to conflate the lack of a title race with a lack of general quality in the league. The two are not the same, to my mind at least.

this is absolutely spot on & it is exactly what people are doing. Lack of title race, no drama, foregone conclusion = League is weaker, complete and utter fallacy & that narrative falls apart when the data comes into it. Nobody expected us to win the league this season, a lot of noses seem to be put out of joint that we have.

To be honest I'd like to see a good few of the squad players given time. If the real first teamers got effectively a few weeks off, then that could be a big thing for next season. Especially with no international tournament this year.

Probably won't happen but it would be good to see a team along the lines of

After the league is won I guess it will be one of two scenarios. Either, a drop in work rate and everyone takes it easier as the job is done. Or, the gloves come off and we see high-risk, free-flowing football with high-scoring games. Sadly I suspect the former is the more likely.

As I type Arsenal have only played two extra games in the Champions League

Their league form dropped off well before they 'decided to concentrate' on the Champions League. The run at the end of Feb start of March where they were beaten by West Ham and drew with Forrest and Man U is where they really messed up their 'title challenge'

I think that City game when they were down to 10 men and conceded a 98th minute equaliser had a huge impact on their season. On the face of it, a draw away to your biggest opponents when down to 10 men is a great result, but the fact they didn't let a single player out of their box for 45 odd minutes, didn't even try to play football, just confirmed why many people didn't think Arsenal/ Arteta would be good enough to win the league.

If they had of went for it and lost 4-2, I think they'd have taken a lot more positives from the performance.

I think what he said made sense at the start of the season , get the same players used to your ideas, but there’s no doubt in my mind we should have/ could have rested the main X1 players more. Endo, Elliot & Chiesa are the main 3 that have been underused.

Yeah it will be interesting to see what he does next season with changes to the squad and signing players he wants. Will that mean more rotation or does he prefer having a smaller squad and maybe having a few younger players to bulk it out. Then which of the younger players might get more time. From what I’ve read Rio and Nyoni are two of his favourites.
