It was never a 50 game league season, so I don't think we need to consider ourselves fortunate for that!

And despite running out of juice, we've still increased our lead over the nearest team by 3 points over the past 6 games.

So even actually winning the league, still isn't good enough. This mythical better team is still out there somewhere, all they need is imaginary games to prove it.

Preseason- We'll be lucky to make Europe.
1/4 in - Only top because of an easy start.
1/2 in - We're playing poor. Arsenal, City, Chelsea all better than us.
3/4 in - Question marks over Slot, fancy Arsenal to go on a 10 game winning run and beat us.
Season over - Melchester Rovers deserve to be champions, sell everyone.

Performances might not have been great recently and I don't doubt players are tired and we should have rotated more etc.

But we have won 6 out of the last 7 (2.57 points per game) or looking over a longer period we have won 10 and drawn 2 of the last 13 PL games (2.46 points per game). If this is our bad patch this season I'd take a few more bad patches like that over the coming seasons...

To win the league is amazing. We should just be happy with that.

It’s true we’ve lost some steam but that’s because a) we’ve been so used to Klopp’s all action style for years and b) the highly efficient Slotball has just gone off the boil a little.

Add a couple of players in the summer and let’s have another tilt at the title next season.

We should be basking in the near league win.
