The league/FA were never serious about it anyway. IIRC every team was supposed to have a 2 week break, last year we had a 2 week break in PL fixtures, but we had a league cup game in there which reduced to to more like 10 days. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Jesus out for the season, Saka until late March probably and Martinelli out as well. Challenging weeks ahead for them.
Edit: Although looking at the next fixtures, they have few and relatively easy games really. Should manage until Martinelli comes back at least.Last edited by The_weatherman; 12-02-25, 01:01 PM.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Nah, he will be back at Easter.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

So it turns out that the FA have decided that Premier League matches can't be played on the weekends of the FA Cup fifth round, and quarter finals. That never used to be the case.Originally posted by dom9 View PostWhat's happened to the winter breaks? Have they been done away with?
So we will get two more weekends off but the teams left in the Cup won't.
I don't know what goes through heads of these people when they're making these decisions.Oh I don't know.
