Blackburn, Stoke and Preston have all been credited with an interest, but Danns is now also considered a “leading target” for Sunderland.

Stoke may now be ruled out after already signing forwards Ali Al-Hamadi and Josh Wilson-Esbrand on loan this month, but Blackburn and Preston could still provide opportunities.

I saw that Middlesbrough were on tonight a few days ago and made sure I was free to watch. Turned on and saw Doak wasn’t even on the bench and couldn’t find out why. A bit frustrating as I’ve been enjoying watching him when I can.

I found out why

Middlesbrough boss Michael Carrick confirmed that his side will be without Ben Doak for a few weeks after the Liverpool loanee suffered a thigh injury in training.

Doak was a surprise absentee when the teams were announced at The Riverside on Monday night, and the 19-year-old is now facing a spell on the sidelines.

Might actually do him some good to have a little break. I think he's started all but 3 games having played in 24 so far but gets subbed off in about half of them. Seems like they are managing his minutes well. Looks like he’s been a sub in the last couple before his injury.

A don’t recall tbh but he’s gone from being a regular last season to only 3 involvements this season from memory
