Our CBs never look to be isolated in any break aways. Suddenly VvD isn't looking a chump in one on one situations against fast wingers. Noticed this a lot against Brentford where I was fearing Wissa and Mbuemo. Gave Utd nothing today, they had to work hard at their own chances.

I like the way the team is set up defensively to stop counter attacks. They look well drilled in how to react and get back to slow down the opposition and get reorganised.

Trent had another good game defensively today he usually has problems against Rashford.

The full backs aren't pushing on as much as they did under Klopp.

As a result we're a lot more solid at the back.

He has a lot of Klopp sensibilities but does it his own way. Listening to him talk you can tell he is next level tactically. But he is also very good with deflecting media traps and in the way we have become used to has that one game at a time mentality. He knows there are more difficult challenges to come.

Am a teeny bit excited to see how he and we go against City. It’s a new challenge for Pep also.
